  1. Bump. STill for sale. Wanted to bump before I hit another forum / site.
  2. Hey Everyone, I've got a Bozi Mad Bomber - it's a classic (no longer made, either). Great board, lot of fun, but time for me to move on. Tip to tail is just under 46" ; weight is ~ 10 lbs. Came with a few stickers (which I haven't touched) and has a few paint chips. Ships from 22203 (DC area) and I can ship it with your preferred carrier. Also, there are "sunriser" LED lights on both front (white) and back (red) - both risers need new batteries (ni-cad, flat / coin style, I believe). I don't think they're made anymore - they're pretty cool and will definitely help make you more visible if riding at night. All reasonable offers accepted. If this is still up, then it's still for sale. Please PM me!
  3. OK, then. I agree with Neil. I'm not that experienced an eBay seller. So, I can still expect a positive feedback from the buyer, then, right?
  4. Good to know. I listed the shipping price, but I didn't know how much the actual package would cost (or I simply forgot to include that in there).
  5. OK, here's the issue. I sold a low cost item and shipped it - at least a week ago. The buyer has it. Before I could send the invoice, they paid me, but the payment doesn't include the shipping supplies, which are also very low cost, but business is business. And since the item was such a small price, I don't want to be stuck with the price of shipping materials. I've reached out to the buyer at least 2x, no response. Losing my patience, but want a positive review. I searched ebay's site for this situation, but didn't see it. Should I just suck it up and leave bad review or email one more time, or contact ebay?
  6. Hi All, I think there are some fairly experienced eBay'ers here? Sellers, in particular. I'm having a minor issue with a buyer and wanted to run this by you guys who are more experienced. Let me know if you're out there and I'll post my question / issue (it's pretty simple). '
  7. Hey Guys, Sorry I went MIA - I thought I had my settings to alert me when there are replies. I will reply now!

  9. BUMP. Price drop : $100
  10. You are a diehard, paying those prices for that shit.....I'm also impressed that you can ride that!
  11. Pius, wait a sec......Canaan Valley is now a 2.5 hr drive from NoVA??! If so, that is Yuuge! lol. Haven't done that drive in years, but it was not an easy drive (granted, I did it at night) through the mountains and was at least a few hours. Where in NOVA are you? I'm headed to Vermont tomorrow, so no 'Tail this weekend. SRT is my favorite local resort (and they have a hardboot race team), but it's a 2 - 2.5 hr drive.
  12. 1/29 Ride Report (Whitetail). I got up there on the later side (~11 AM). I didn't see any evidence of "packed powder," as their website said. Additionally, at least several of the trails had significant exposure (resulting in only 2/3 of the trail width being accessible). After taking 2 falls (1 of which I hit my head pretty good), I decided to not even bother trying to ride the carving board. I went back to Guest Services and was able to get a 50% credit (though they can't guarantee that SRT or Liberty would accept it, which is somewhat silly, as all 3 are owned by the same company). I've never been so disappointed in Whitetail. I can understand the conditions are bad, and I figured it was a gamble, but there isn't any excuse to be less than 100% truthful on their daily conditions report. Additionally, charging the same full price for these conditions is starting to really wear on me - and they raised their price of an all day rental to $8 (from 5). On the positive side, they appear to have made some significant renovations / additions to their lodges and food accommodations.
  13. Looking to buy new hard bindings, preferably (but am flexible) Burton Race. This site has them for just under $300, which I think is ridiculous....I thought they were $179 a few years ago, as they were being re-branded as IBEX bindings http://www.carversparadise.com/product_info.php?products_id=2230 - suggestions? thanks,
  14. How much are these?
  15. $115 (purchased for $219, (see box label pic) ). Condition: Very good / excellent (lightly used) Color: White with army green design, and small areas (only on the metal buckle) of red Size: S Includes 2 pair of discs (3D and 4x4), disc pads (3D only), 8 screws (with washers), instructions, and leash. If this ad is up, they're still for sale. Shipping from DC or Arlington, VA (if local, I can meet you in person). Have had several BOL transactions over the years - all have been smooth. Paypal preferred.
  16. How much use have the bindings had? Also, how specifically are they more adjustable.
  17. workshop7: sole block of the actual binding? meaning just the part you step on? I'm not sure I'm following..... ibrussel: this would require just buying new (Burton race) bindings altogether, right? lowrider: that's funny. i was able to remove that pic but not able to upload a new pic...perhaps a known issue / bug?
  18. Hi All, I've had 2 pairs of Burton Race plates for maybe 10 or so years? I don't know how old they were when I purchased them or how many times they were used. I've only used them a handful of times. Previously I would have never considered replacing old equipment as long as it was working ok (they are), but I'm a bit older now and am OK with spending a few bucks to have more peace of mind. What is the thinking about this? Would it be a wise or unnecessary expenditure to buy a new pair of IBEX (or whatever the ones that are molded on the Burtons are called)? Have there been any known cases of bail bindings releasing? Also, what is the recommendation for an entry level pair of step ins. ***I am a lighter rider*** (+/- 150 lbs) - so I don't think I need the Bomber bindings. thanks, Barry
  19. Hi All, I'm tentatively planning on flying to Denver next Friday. Some friends there just recently told me that it's been warmer and there are some bald spots, but I saw that it was snowing recently (or may snow very soon). We only have 2 days and we don't want to break the bank. My friend is a beginner and isn't a carver. I'm bringing my favorite board (haven't ridden in many years) out there and just want some moderate blues to carve. Can you locals please recommend the best resorts re: conditions and if there are any less expensive (but still decent) alternatives to hotels that are hundreds / night. I really wanted to try A-Basin, but my friend said it was just OK re: conditions. I've been to Vail and my friend is up for that, but is there any place that's not too expensive to stay there in town? We've both been to Winter Park and are considering that as well. Alternatively, is it worth considering simply staying in Denver (or just outside) and just making the trip up both mornings? I read that the traffic gets bad on the weekends, but it's later in the season already...... Thanks
  20. thansk for the report....glad to hear conditions were good overall. i may be there next Sunday with a bunch of buddies.
  21. Can you provide a conditions report? I'd like to go Sunday but no way with this super warm weather (read, soft snow) and those prices. hopefully next weekend
  22. I verified that the helmet was manufactured in '02, so now I can justify this as a "necessary" purchase davekempmesiter - wow, that was a while ago, real blast from the past. nice to hear from you again. I've been out of the alpine scene for a little while and wasn't active on BOL for a few years, but finally rode my plates a few days ago, so I guess I'm back. not to hijack the thread, but do you still have the Tierney board?
  23. Hi All, My helmet is an old (I think about 10 years) Boeri with a hard ear covering (not the flaps). I think it's time to finally upgrade this, and I wouldn't mind a music-ready helmet as long as it's under $200 - any suggestions? POC makes some real nice looking helmets
  24. oh, then it was nice to meet you! I just did a few runs on snowpark or whatever the hill on the left is called. My first time on plates in almost 3 years and legs were burning up. Do you normally go to 'Tail? I like roundtop the best of the local 3 sister resorts, but it's a bit far. Where in VA are you coming from? I'm in Arlington County. Perhaps we can take some runs together sometime. I've been out of the alpine scene for a few seasons but remember now how much fun it is.
