2/28 - 3/1 weekend end of the season d-team races both sat and sun this weekend. 500 kids expected both days - chairs 1, 2, and 3 will be covered in gates and kids. but, like scott said, the snow has been excellent! (it's also excellent at welch, which is where i'll be this weekend avoiding the mass races.) -trent

ace, excellent shots! i love the aerial perspective. too bad my video from the chair is so bouncy. check out ace at the beginning grabbing a small tree off the run. i still have 20 minutes of video from highlands to still go through and post. hoping to have it done by sunday. -trent

working on uploading the video i shot through the week. it's taking a LONG time! and sorry, it probably won't be worth the wait... i'm not as talented as johnasmo. it's like what people were yelling from the chair when i was filming, "you're pointing the camera the wrong way!!!!". i'll post as they get uploaded. not much editing, just trying to cut out most of the non-carving time. no music or effects either. just trying to get this stuff uploaded so y'all can see it. thanks for the great week everyone! i had an awesome time, as always!!! -trent most of this is from the end of corey's int clinic.

it's that time of year again... where carvers outnumber everyone else on the hill!* come out and show off your skillz, heckle those plagued by the camera curse, heckle those causing the camera curse, and get your required monthly sugar intake during lunch. when: jan 28, 2015 9:30 - ? where: afton alps www.aftonalps.com cost: $44 for a lift ticket ($49** if you don't sign up for "preferred program"), plus any food you purchase. as usual, make sure you've used your fixodent that morning - there will be chewy, sticky, pull-out-your-teeth goodness after lunch. :D who: anyone who likes to see thin, deep lines left in the snow why: because we can still out-carve most of the skiers out there, and it's finally feeling like winter! * at least until 9:45 or so. :-) ** like last year, afton wants you to sign up for their "preferred program". you pre-purchase your lift ticket online, and save some money. first lift for the year is $5 off. each lift after that is $15 off. see here for more details, and it looks like you can use your card from last year too, just need to load it with that day's lift ticket. http://www.aftonalps.com/tickets-rentals/tickets,-passes-rentals/lift-ticket-pricing see you in a few weeks! -trent

i know last year was kind of a bust.... but let's make up for it this year! come and get your carve-on at buck hill xmas eve. 9-1pm for only $22! it's a christmas miracle at that price. they must have a superstar working there giving us all such a deal come out and get some genuine smiles before you have to put on the fake smiles for your less-than-favorite-relatives you'll have to spend the rest of the day with! -trent
