Just checking, anyone out there riding tomorrow (Saturday). Seems we will have another sunny day with INSANE carving conditions (Like today, yesterday and the entire week... I am toast!)

If someone is interested, one of the beautiful “La Glisse” powder guns ended here in Aspen and is now up for sale. It was a demo during the session and only has a few runs on it. It’s a 186cm swallow tail with full wood topsheet (pics on request). Please email me (icom@netwood.net) if you are serious. FYI, this puppy does not come cheep. Cheers!

Not saying a helmet would have saved his life, nobody knows! Nothing we can wear on the mountain can save us when crashing hard enough in certain ways. There is always a harder more violent crash out there, no matter how good you protect yourself, it could be your last one. We all know that, every time when we go up the mountain, right? It’s an odds game, play it smart and always in your favor, as much as you can and with all available tools you can get. A helmet is just one small easy available tool in this game. No matter how good people think they are, it might catch em one day. This is so sad, the mood in town is very depressed today. Chris was well known here by so many people.

This is so sad. Heard about it last evening… conditions have been tricky during the last days, even icy spots sometimes… what strikes me most, NO helmet!!! Every day we are out we see so many instructors without helmet. I don’t get it.

Would anyone actually have “real numbers” of boards sold by such? Just because at some point every second or third board was of some brand in a small community at some point doesn’t mean their overall numbers of boards sold worldwide is even close to what Burtons or even F2 or other international manufactures have been. I.e. look at the extremecarving forum, at least every second board is a Swoard, you go to the Frozen-Backside forum, basically all Virus driven, Bomber, well mixed… What matters I think are the real numbers of boards sold worldwide to ensure a manufacture will be around for a long time in my opinion… But it is sure good to see that more boards of individual shops are being sold. That’s what our sport needs and assures we have equipment at least in the years to come.
