I was at my home mountain Snow Bowl in Arizona, the conditions were great . The day before the mountain got 4inches of fresh snow with clear sunny sky later in the day it warmed up quite a bit and then set up overnight with cold temps , I chose the 185 that day prevent any augering in hard carves . in fact after a few turns down the run conditions were so firm, I felt like I could have been on my shorter sl board. I was pushing the board pretty hard toe side at hi speed & I felt the board start to drift out so I leaned into it a bit harder to stay on my carve then wham! it was all over. as I sat there waiting to be extracted by ski patrol I kept looking at my line leading to the crash wondering wtf happened.

I purchased my 185 rev new from donek mid season 2014 I estimate this board had around 40 -50 days of riding with plenty of vertical feet,one season it stayed on the shelf with zero days. No real serious crashes , I do remember a hand full of butt checks & belly burn outs before I got my stance & edges all dialed in. I should mention am a big guy 220 lbs. my affection for the upm mounted af plate bit me in the ass, I should have stuck with the vist or f plate & never got a board with upm inserts at my weight. I just so glad I didnt break my neck , also I need to mention that everyone involved from ski patrol to the hospital doctors & staff were excellent in handling my broken leg. thanks to all of you guys for the good vibes ! its gonna be a tough summer

Az Snowbowl received 5 1/2 ft of powder in 36 hrs! When they finally dropped the rope on the Flat Iron Bowl run, I was maybe the 20th person to head down. The sight was something I will never forget so many riders ahead of me got stuck in the powder & all you could see was their helmets! I was looking at a sea of bobble heads ! What a day to test out my new powder board, a 162 Blunt Diamond . The BD floated me through the deep with no issues at all & all I could do was giggle as I left a trench for a lucky few to escape their powder prison as I passed by. So stoked..

Have you looked into Full Bags line up? The Diamond Blade will be my next board purchase for hard bootn in the trees.

I feel the same, but in reality there are more small/medium people than large in our sport. I think the LTB165 would be too short for you even for a shifted board , your gonna loose speed & sink it in deep powder... I have a 181 nitro cannon , its 26 wide & I free ride with hard boots so over hang is not a problem. my only issue with it is its too soft for my weight in hard boots. my next ride to replace the nitro will be a 181 fullbag hammerhead I like the scr, & blunted tip/tail better. good luck with you search.

I dont think those 27-27.5 boots have a size 11 liner, the size 11 liner comes with the 29-29.5 boots.

imagine how much those liners swim around in the 312 mm shell I have.. sounds like they might be a good fit for Gremlins boot then,, stuff em in & heat em up for the win...

Gremlin what size boot do you have? I dont know why upz ships 600$ boots out with improperly sized liners, my 28-28.5 boots came with a 9.5 flo liner that doesnt fit my foot or the boot, It swims around in the shell so much its worthless to me. If the 9.5 liner is what you after let me know they would probably fit a 27-27.5 boot. I will let you have it for the cost of shipping to your door . I found that a 11 flo liner out of the 29-29.5 upz boot fits perfectly in my 28-28.5 boot & it gave me way more comfort , I still had to stuff padding above the toe area tho. Im looking for another 11 flo liner for my other boots now ,if you have any leads lemme know.

looking for unused upz flo- liner size 11, this liner is the one in a 29-29.5 boot , it should have the size printed on the side.

Great trenchn' with you guys yesterday we really dug it up, glad we finally hooked up! if it wasnt for all the blacked out holidays on my week day pass, I would have been able to ride more days during your visit. let me know if you ever make it back to the bowl. we do have some of the best slush ridn' , so plan on coming back around in march& april!

Holly blizzard! Hope it wasnt when I ate shit after my fourth turn on the new beast! I made it up around 11-11:30 ,people traffic was heavy & chair was painfully slow at HP . I made maybe 3 runs over there. moved on over to the bowl for a couple more runs. Blasted my quads in the chop. Yeah, Im a little out of shape for this 24cm wide Donek monster . I had to stop once to fuss with some adjustments as well. Thought I caught glimpse of a Prior over head on the HP chair, maybe you? All this new snow will crowd the hill with even more locals & straight liners so watch your back! I will be up for some more tomorrow& I will hang around GCC for the most part. Meet around 10ish or earlier? Yes they will groom most trails over night to preserve base, some runs like lava, volcano, casino& black jack will not get groomed

Nice, Robert is a great fun to ride with! You have now officially met 1/4 of the total hardbooters in Flagstaff! I guess there is going to be some new snow up there. I will be up on Thursday to ride I look forward to meeting some more carving folk.
