Thanks everyone for the kind words and inspiration. It helps me to want to get better. I really like the hardboots but my legs and ankles aren't used to them yet. Miltie, I am 8 yrs old. I started on the bunny hill at 5 and moved to the big hill at 6. Riding with the LCI has helped me improve so fast. If I get tired of hearing dad talk I can ride with any of the others and they will give me information to help with my riding. I am surrounded by coaches who all look out for my best interests and safety. I'm really glad I have all of them to ride with. Dave, if you look in the 2012 New board thread, my dad posted the new virus that D.T. and Bola got me for Christmas. I am infected for sure. KarverKai

Dusty Bottle, THANK YOU sooo much for the early Christmas present!!!!!! It will be quite a long time till I can fit into the hardboots but dada is looking for some small ski boots that I can fit into the NOS burton plate binders you gave me. See you next Sunday and Thanks again. KK

I had a great time riding with everyone . It was fun to see Angie, Jim and Rya. Took a ride with Monodude when Dada and Big Mario changed out boards. I loved it when Big Mario said that I was the "rider of the day" . Thanks everyone, I had fun and can't wait to ride with you next time. KarverKai

Inky, Thanks for posting my vid. I had sooo much fun with you and mama this weekend. The snow was fun to play in and the riding seemed like the middle of winter. But not as cold. Thanks for taking us dada! Oldsnowboarder, Thanks for the "Mini Ripper", I like it . Yeah the trees were a blast. I just started working on that late in the season last year and I love it. I also spent a few runs by myself on the small hill trenching it up for the beginners since I was the only one carving it. KK

So, this was my first 3 day weekend of riding. All I can say is . Saturday on the Virus with dada, Dustin, Tony, and Keveen. Sunday with more of the LCI in attendance for some pow on my Lamar Dragon. Got some big air in the park with great results, I stuck my landings and rode away. Today was the best of them all. Out on the Virus again. Snow was good for my light weight, dada would dig in a bit leaving trenches for me to jump over. I stayed out of the park and hit other stuff to get air on. Dada even worked with me on my carves and I am starting to get better edge pressure at the top of my turns now. It is fun leaving little trenches for other kids to fall over. :p That's all for now, see you next Saturday! KarverKai

Jack, I have a Lamar Dragon 110 that is my goto board and the Virus Rookie 99. They both have that frown look and the edges only turn up what dada filed them too. I am now riding the big mountain with the LCI and most kids I see on those boards are either spinning in circles or side slipping down the mountain. I make turns, can traverse and can get to the jumps I see with minimal skidding. Working with dada and the LCI has helped me a lot. Yesterday I rode the Rookie and was loving it. I am starting to roll the board on edge, like on my skateboard, at the top of the turn instead of sliding it first then engaging my edge. I was even able to ride Switchback, which is firm for Colorado but Geoff said not quite as firm as where you are. from top to bottom with no falls or stops. I even beat the usual LCI riders to the bottom. :p BTW I am 46 pounds and 47" tall with a size 1 burton moto boot in Flow bindings. Dada hasn't bought my Full Tilt boots or plate bindings yet. I am hoping to get those for Christmas. Hope this helps you and your kid have as much fun as my dada and I are having. Thanks Dustin and Shelly for riding with me yesterday, I couldn't wait for dada anymore since I was so excited. I was very happy to be able to ride like last season, linking turns... and on the FIRST RUN even. I even did some small jumps. So excited. KarverKai

I want to thank the LCI for all of their support and cheering for me this season. Yesterday I accomplished my goal of 8 runs on the big hill with the help of you guys and gals. I had a lot of fun riding with you this season and can't wait till next season. My first goal for next season is more than 10 days riding on the big hill. I got 10 days this season but most of those were on the bunny slope. It was also nice meeting others who aren't with the LCI. Hopefully I will see some of you on bikes this summer. Dada let us sleep in which we really needed after the birthday party I went to last night. Wheww! Anyway, we got to the hill late so no breakfast burrito for me but that was ok. We went straight up lift 1 to start the day and I did pretty well on the new Rookie 99. Mom and I took a break after that run and Dada rode with Greenleaf and Eric the Red. Mom and I were ready to go out again but I told mom not to call dada so mom and I rode the next run together. I even got to lead the whole way down! I was ready to go when we finished that run but the rest of the LCI showed up at lift 1 so we went to say Hi:1luvu: and momma wanted to show them a picture of the trench that I made carving toeside. The guys wanted to make a run with me and so I decided to go for another run. Thank you Big Mario, Greenleaf, Eric the Red and James for taking a run with me. That was my best run of the day. I can't wait to be able to ride all over the mountain with the LCI. KarverKai

The little Virus is my Rookie 99. I am waiting the arrival of my bindings and Dada says we may get my boots on Sunday. I hope to ride it with Frank at LCS3 on Saturday with my softies and flows. I'm so excited to try it instead of my 110 freeride board. Slalom baby, slalom! :p KarverKai

I rode chair one for the first time today! Dada and I made two runs. Dustin and Shelly joined me for one of them. I am so proud of myself and had so much fun. We went down catwok, mambo and homerun. I'm getting better but have a little bit of trouble going from heelside to toeside. Thanks Dustin and Shelly for joining me on my second run. I hope your back feels better Dustin. KarverKai
