  1. Hi Flywalker, Using the USPS online calculator I came up with priority mail at $46.00, insured, to Canada in 6-10 business days.
  2. Making room for new boards. Two powder boards that also carve well for sale. Dynastar 3800 169 $275 plus shipping SOLD Powder oriented swallowtail board, can ride hard or soft boot, new last year, ridden two days. N-30.4, W-25.6, T-29.8, SCR-9.5 Color changes on the topsheet can be distracting. Osin 3800 163 $175 plus shipping SOLD As above, very lightly used, like new. N-29.7, W-25.2, T-29.2, SCR-9.0 Read more info about 3800's in these threads: http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?32938-Riding-a-dynaster-3800-or-similar-board http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?26176-NOS-Dynastar-3800-163
  3. Thanks Bryan, package sent this morning, USPS.
  4. Will trade for TD3 traditional binding mounts. I have 3, 6 and 0 degree cants here...
  5. Burton Freecarve boots, size 28. $25 plus shipping. Used a only few times. Designed to be a step up from a soft boot in stiffness for all-mnt riding in hard-plates. Not enough support for carving in my opinion although my daughter used a pair for racing several years ago when she couldn't find standard boots that fit.
  6. Yes, like b0ardski says, looks like 5mm bail (smaller than Bomber/Catek), center disk is metal (aluminum?) and plate is some kind of hard composite.
  7. Catek world cup long plate $100 shipped-still available Blax plates $50 plus shipping SOLD
  8. Ever watch ski racing on TV? You see skiers immediately pop one ski off and place it next to their face as the camera zooms in for the interview? Same reasons as you speculate, not-so-subtle product placement--a winner's endorsment of the equipment, if you kiss the ski, even better. Boards are like billboards compared to skis, lots of room for other sponsor's logos and stickers, but FIS has rules about the size of the advertisements a racer can wear. They apparently don't want it to look like a NASCAR race.
  9. Hi Ken, I'm getting a 172 metal AX and a 164 Nomad, both demos, from Sean after the season is over. Sold the ATV and baby Kessler. Hope you're having fun.
  10. Sorry, the board has been sold.
  11. Board is still available. Sent you an email. You had 2 different email addresses and names so sent to both.
  12. Still available. Email sent.
  13. I've got a Kessler SL 162 for sale here... http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?37156-Kessler-162-SL
  14. Just trying to guess your board's measurements, it doesn't look so wide now, but this thread is starting to look like it belongs in the board porn section. I've always wanted to drive a groomer.
  15. Good luck at the nationals. Is that a standard width metal AX? It looks wide. Can I ask what the specs are? I'm getting a stock 172 metal AX for next year. Russ: I'm pretty sure a carver on the board (accidental pun) means that we will start seeing exclusive runs for carvers and mid-day grooming.
  16. Bought this used 3 years ago from a guy who had just bought it new and rode it twice and found it too stiff. I've ridden it about 5 half days. Believe it is a stock board, N28.6 W23.5 T28.2 scr 9.5 One minor scratch on top sheet near tail. A few shallow scratches on base that don't effect ride and will dissappear with a base grind. $350...SOLD to Aaron
  17. 2010 Kessler 162 SL ...SOLD... to crumblecarve N 25.5 / W 19 / T 23 Custom made for 160lb racer, SSWSC. Raced one season, female racer, and ridden a handfull of times by me. Standard 4 hole and Hangl inserts. Just had a base grind after last ride, only one base grind before that. More than half the edge left. Email any questions or for more details or pics. This is a great board. I'm making room for a slightly bigger board. See what others are saying about the 162 on this BOL thread, and make sure to check out the Apex review and video. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?37166-Opinions-everyone-has-one-(on-Kessler) http://www.apexsnowboard.com/gabe_tung_review.html $425 + shipping
  18. Rode from 9AM to about 3PM. Started out firm and fast 1st hour and gradually warmed up. Snow is holding up quite well on all the runs, despite the one area picture above which is way over on the edge of the top of 4pipe. Rode the Kessler twins (GS and then SL) while still firm, then switched to the 167ATV about 11AM when it started getting slushy. Did several runs on Gandy then found Russ, on a "lunch break" from work. We took several runs from Cinder Snapper to Blue Ruin and worked our way over to Scissor Bill. After lunch took my old Rossi Alpine FC(freecarve)160 out for a spin. It has the same scr as the ATV but is shorter and narrower and turned out to be way more fun than the ATV! Glad no one bought it when I was trying to sell it. Here's video proof on Juggler Joe, 3/16/12 Friday 2PM
  19. Still thinking of coming up tomorrow, Friday, for one last blast of the season. Interested to hear how it was today. BobD you might be onto something with the whitewater kayak, might be just the tool to get down the hill in the coming days. Possibility of thunderstorms are in the NOAA forecast everyday for the next week starting Saturday. Let's see, do we shut down the chair lift when there's thunder and lightning? Sounds like summertime weather, guess were're gonna skip spring this year.
  20. Is the snow starting to turn to granular/corn yet? Was it still sticky slow? I wonder if the stuff you picked up on your board is what made the snow feel slow since that last snowfall? It did have the feel of dirty snow, but I saw no signs of dirt imbeded in my wax. I might have to come back up there to investigate. I have Friday off. I think I'll avoid Saturday and all the St Paddy's day hoopla. Sure feels like the season is winding down fast. I almost took my bike out for a spin today.
  21. So, I've read this thread with interest. Consensus is?: 1. TD1's not advisable on any metal board without spacers or plate. 2. Boards with exposed metal topsheet particularly vulnerable to any binding without spacer/plate. 3. TD2/3's are OK directly on newer (non metal topsheet) metal boards? Spacer/plate still advised on exposed metal top sheet. 4. Opinions/experience with Cateks? World cup? Olympic? I have the older World Cup series on a black-top Kessler, no spacer or plate. I have assumed the World Cup's large diameter base with it's rubber gasket distributed stress as well as the newly designed TD2/3 base.
  22. Fun day yesterday, even later in the day carving up the soft snow. Rode until about 2PM, I did several "last runs" with bobble before finally calling it quits. Two full days in a row and my old knees are feeling it today. Had a beer with bobble and Mrs bobble afterwards. To my surprise bobble was not wearing a suit and tie under his snowboard gear and did not puff on a pipe. RE the snow later in the day: I think it has something to do with the high water content of the 2' of new snow last week, it felt like sandpaper, but maybe it's a water-surface-tension-suction type of thing, because it was worse when your board was flat. Sure felt like you had the brakes on when not on edge. Would require some serious waxing/structuring magic. Hope our local carvers Russ, Jim and Ken continue with the hill reports. I think Spirit has enough snow on top of a good base for some nice granular, corn snow conditions, but this warm weather is gonna get people thinking of other things.
