Sounds nice, wish I came up Sunday. I was getting ready to come up, checked the weather forecast first which had changed from partly sunny to snow and overcast, so I opted for plan B--xc ski in town. Maybe Tuesday or Thursday this week.

Sunday's forecast looks like a nice day. I'll come up if it looks nice. I didn't come up Thurs as it looked like fog and overcast. I must be getting old, but I just don't like carving a big fast board into the flat light void.

Thinking about coming up tomorrow AM, if anyone wants to come out and play.

Russ, by the time that happens you should be able to have a video chip installed directly in your brain and have the full virtual reality experience. Shortly after I shot that pole video the clouds moved back and the light was so flat I couldn't see, so I quit and went xc skiing. I won't be able to get up there until next week, maybe Tuesday or Thurs.

Looks like the snow is continuing to accumulate up there. Sunday may be the nicer day. I'm tempted. I've got my manual tele-zoom-pole-mount rigged up to try and get some closer shots.

I came up tuesday AM. Had great fun, soft snow, hazy sun. Saw one other carver on a metal Doneck under the chair on 4pipe, but didn't see him again. Any idea who that was?

I think I need to get the optional manual-telescoping-zoom-pole for the Gopro. I was thrilled to hear that James from Madison was at Spirit to race in intercollegiate snowboard GS! I had no idea. Maybe they will finally start incorporating snowboard racing into the high school ski race programs too. See you next time.

Coming up tomorrow, Tuesday, AM ses. Looks like nice weather. We're expecting rain later in the week, so I'ld like to get out before that. You guys should come out, I'm bringing my camera.

Nice images, good quality. What kind of camera did you get, and how did you mount it? Are you guys planning to go out Christmas eve morning? I might be able to come up then. I'ld love to make some vids.

I plan to come up next Tuesday, weather permitting. According to the website it's national snowboard day, I'll celebrate that, plus it's the solstice! Yeah, typical weekday morning is being the first person down fourpipe, do about 3-4 runs, and move on to the next run to the left and repeat til I get over to Gandy. By then people are starting to show up and time to work my way back to wide open fourpipe where beginers make an easy course to navigate. Not to mention that all runs are 2-3 times the length of anything down my way. My new ride this year; Mimi's old 180 Kessler.

Hey Russ, Thanks for the updates, keep them coming. Did you go out this weekend? I was hoping to come up Tuesday (day off work), but it looks like rain and snow Monday into Tuesday, so maybe next week. I'ld like to come up once fourpipe is open. I'm riding my daughter's old board, a Kessler 180, and I want to have a lot of room. Rode at Wild on Friday, all but a few runs were open with good coverage and plenty of room to carve a big board until the afternoon. David

Great fun riding with all you guys yesterday. Forgot how much fun a good day on corn snow can be. Jim taught us the limitations of metal boards, they don't cut through everything. Bob, great to meet you, can't wait to see the clips. Russ, as always had fun syncro-carving with you. Just want to add that yesterday was the first day I rode my Prior ATV with a carving stance (rather than set back for pow) and it exceeded my expectations really carving smoothly, at speed, through that inconsistant slushy stuff, where my FC1 did not like it at all (too stiff). Thumbs-up for ATV living up to its name.
