  1. One more question. What happens if they cancel your return flight out of Aspen. Do they expect you to find your own way to Denver, or do you just hang out at Aspen until another flight can be arranged? (maybe that's not such a bad thing).
  2. Thanks SnowNBeach. I also change in Denver (and fly from there to Aspen). But I am coming in on Sat. Arrive in Denver at 2.45pm. So, if anyone is on same schedule, PM me, and we can compare emergency plans (or lack there-of). Does anyone know if that $99 shuttle from Denver to Aspen can be relied upon, or will it be booked way out. I will call them this week to find out what I can.
  3. yeah, when the ski's start flapping and they are in the backseat it's great to watch from the chairlift.....that happens a lot out East...I saw someone once straight-line one of the steep ones all the way, overshooting the ski run and past the lift station.... I never tried to talk anyone out of it, I'm probably an offender myself.
  4. Thanks - it's all booked anyhow, so I'll cross my fingers and hope for some good luck in that department.
  5. I compensate for this by increasing the forward lean of the bindings, and moving the bindings physically closer to the heel-side edge of the board. Balances things out......
  6. It was a Kingpin custom. The model name was Device. 155cm. I just found the brochure for it. They had spoon type noses - like the Morrow's. I found this link - people talking about them. http://67.19.252.171/content/kingpin-snowboards-37216
  7. Ohh ohh, first dibs on those please... Paul
  8. I'm looking for :- 312mm = 28-28.5mp
  9. Sold. Thanks everyone.
  10. I'm looking for some UPZ 28.28.5mp boots. I have the next size up, and I think that I can go a size smaller.
  11. clearly it's focal length distortion.
  12. thanks for posting that bjvircks. I'm planning on bussing it around the mountains
  13. Think about it, if you don't you'll end up booting out on one board, or not being able to pressure the edges as quickly on another (slower edge to edge, more effort to ride). I think you'll adapt to the different angle within a run or two. I once did something pretty dumb and ordered a custom 13" wide board (soft boot), to completely eliminate overhang and be able to ride 0 angles. There was so much board, I had a couple of cm's clearance between the end of my boot and the edge of the board. It took everything I could throw at it to get it on edge. It was physically tiring to ride.
  14. Well used Burton 2001 Rippey 158.5. Looks like its been ridden in the park some. Condition :- Minor deformation at rail on right side of nose (with a matching ridge on topsheet). Two p-tex repairs near the edges Epoxy on one place on sidewall Couple of filled in gouges on base I purchased this used on ebay a year or two ago. I had it tuned/repaired by local store (they fixed the rail ding on the nose, and gave it a tune up). I put one day of riding on it, waxed it and stored it. Decided it was too small for my needs. Scraped wax today for photos $100 shipped obo; interesting trades considered. SES delivery possible. 15. +1 on Teaches input. You are at a weight where you don't really need to go custom. You can buy 'off-the-shelf' boards, and you have lots of options in used gear. Bite the bullet and buy a full setup, used. You can get it done pretty cheap if you look around, for way way less than the price of a custom board.
  16. I was gonna say the same.....especially when it rains. In other places, I've ridden down runs to the bottom where people were taking the lift down to avoid the lack of snow. Lightweights.
  17. http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/12/28/maine.skiers.trapped/index.html?hpt=T2 Lots of umm-ing and ahh-ing from the Sugarloaf Rep.
  18. I'm a total novice but I've been researching this question for the last couple of days. This thread may be helpful. I just ordered a set of flywheels. I hear that for sliding you want a rounded corner wheel rather than a square sided wheel. http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/longboard-skateboarding-wheels-bearings/146724-abec11-76mm-flywheels-81a-75-mm-durians-83a.html
  19. Just for fun, I did a test on a Prior glass custom that I have sitting next to my computer. 6.25 turns on one of the binding holes I can get at (bindings are mounted). I know the board construction is not the same but that's a staggering amount of difference.
  20. thanks guys, I just ordered a DaKine Concourse up.
  21. I'm good to go now. One of the binding sets I have has D3's and I just built myself a set of spacers using hardbooters template and some kitchen cutting boards from Lowes.
  22. The fellow BOL's did not respond in time. And now, its been offered to the big wide world of ebayers. I think that you should put it to the late coming BOL-ers that they should bid high on the auction. Perhaps, if you don't have a reserve on it, add a comment to the auction, that the auction will be pulled, and it will be sold privately it it fails to reach some value at some time period before the end of the auction. Of course, you'll be out considerable sellers fees also, so you may like to add that your calculation also. That's a decent ethical stance. Legally, as others have put, you aren't obligated to do anything more than pull the auction and sell it privately.
