Hey everyone, I just wanted to share some pics I took while I was at Mt. Shasta visiting my gf. I figured this group might appreciate some pics and I just wanted to share :) Mt. Shasta in the background On Castle Lake (it was still frozen) As some of you may know, this was also the first time I was able to ride my own first board. It's a 172 F2 Speedster RS I got from a Bomber a couple weeks ago, and all I can say is WOW . It almost feels as though this board was made just for me. At first, I was a little intimidated with the length and stiffness of it (I'm only about 140lbs). I thought I would be falling every 20 feet, but I didn't. I was actually able to link some carves the very first run! At this point, the excitement was just pouring out of me. I wasn't able to hold still on the ride back up. I've only taken the board out twice, but I can still feel myself riding the sidecut, although only on the steeper stuff. Once I get on some more gentle blues, I can crank it over and make really tight turns. Is this normal? If so, how can I do what I do on the gradual blues on some steeper stuff, other than more practice? I'm planning to go to Silver Mtn. this weekend and hopefully go with Steve P. or someone else. The weekend better get here soon!

Anyone up for Silver Mtn. this Saturday or Sunday? :)

That's what it was! I don't doubt that it may have not been a 171. I think the seller used a tape measure to measure the OAL and I just used a ruler to check the waist :o (it's all I have in my dorm). I was doubting the 171 when I saw the first three serial numbers. Thank you for your lengthy post, it really cleared things up. Also, thank you for that additional tip! I'll make sure to keep that one in mind as well on Sunday. I know it's much stiffer than that Hot I rode. It feels more like your Volkl, but not as stiff. We'll see how it goes

I'll keep that in mind. I'll be in Boise on the 19th of this month for spring break. I'm planning on going to Bogus with my friend on the 21st (that Saturday). Maybe I'll see you there?

I'm not too concerned about the SCR as long as it's not around 15m+. I've already ridden a 168 Hot Blast with a 18cm waist and 13m SCR. I handled it quite nicely. It's the stiffness on the F2 that I'll have to get over.

Hey everyone! I'm in search for some specs on this board. It's a 171 F2 Speedster RS. I got it from a fellow Bomber and we don't know any info on it. The seller said he had it shipped from France because he couldn't find one like it in the US. I've already checked F2's site and didn't find anything. The waist measures 18.8cm. I have no idea what the effective edge and sidecut are. Any ideas?

Now we just have to wait until Audi comes out with an alpine board
