  1. Would agree the bindings are worth more than the board. But a Hot Blast SL wouldn't be board I would sell quickly, it's still a nice board. This is where the fun starts @ebay.de: http://sport.shop.ebay.de/Snowboarding-/13394/i.html?_catref=1
  2. If you find a hardboot setup fatiguing you're probably fighting a wrong setup, or the boots are just way too stiff. I make exactly the same motions on hardboots and softboots when it comes down to carving. In the beginning my boots were completely locked up, so I couldn't get enough flexibility to push or pull the board, this made everything much harder. There are many topics here and on Extremecarving.com or frozenbackside.de discussing how to modify boots and how to install a BTS. Everything else is secondary to good fitting, properly flexing boots. I would rather ride a ten year old Hot Special board with Nidecker bindings and a perfect boot than the latest Virus with Bomber Sidewinders wearing poor fitting stiff boots. In general, all types of toe clip bindings are considered to be flexible, except for Catek and older Bomber bindings.
  3. If you go to Soelden you can also test many many more brands of snowboards, like Kessler and SG!

  5. And stop linking to his site from this site
  6. They are only sold through a separate website? I thought Carver's Paradise was Joerg's shop as well.
  7. Very nice! But the guy in the softies should have been left out, he isn't carving!
  8. I have seen longer movies on YouTube a few times, but you need a special account to do this. Isn't Google Video still allowing longer movies?
  9. Without the springs engaged, like walkmode?
  10. The spring system seems to have much less travel compared to a BTS. It seems a much stiffer boot because of that, a bit like unmodified Head Stratos boots, is this true? Did anyone replace the springs with a BTS or something similar?
  11. Almost every resort in Austria above 1900 meter has snow!
  12. That's a great time for your first half marathon! :) I'm aiming for 1:40 and I would be extremely proud of myself with your result!
  13. It would be great if the ring would be groomed every time it turns!
  14. They're going to build Amsterdam INSIDE that mountain! I can just read a part of a sign reading COFFEE...., I wonder how realistic they're going to make this "Amsterdam street" :o Unless you are right in the middle of this ring, you will spend a unproportional time on either heelside or toeside. But it must be pretty special to ride this thing. Too bad they can't change the tilt.
  15. Binding angles are useless metrics without knowing board width and boot size. I would always put my rear boot in an angle that is as flat as possible without having boot out. On a race board, you can have a little bit of boot out if you're riding a narrow board (19cm ish wide), if you want to do recreational laid down carves, allow no boot out at all. So my rear foot would always be set up automatically in this way. Now you have to add a little splay (most of the time). You have to find that out for yourself, but most people have about 5 degrees of splay. For myself, at the moment I ride with 7-12 degrees of splay, since I'm a bit bowlegged. A bit more splay when it's a wider board, a bit less when it's a narrow board.
  16. So if the government would put enough extra taxes on liquor and cigarettes to cover the healthcare costs it would be fine?
  17. If the difference is really negligible, why isn't Jasey Jay riding in his halfpipe gear? Whenever I straightline down the hill, it always seems wind drag limits my speed at some point.
  18. Probably the file was a disk image. You should burn the image to a DVD, not put the image file on a DVD. What is the file extension?
  19. But nobody tried to drill snowboard inserts into a monoski in all those years? Even without sidecut they would probably be better for on piste snowboarding
  20. Oh man. They probably jerk off in your shower as well  You're past 25 right? GTFO!
  21. Just can't get let go of the fresh sixpack while he tries to get up again. This man has his priorities sorted! :D
  22. The softbooter is way better skilled than the rest, I'm sure he would be doing even better when on hardboots. I see him perform very dynamic push pull and rotation, the hardbooters don't really do that, just some lazy carving. You can also see the combination of his angles and rotation technique prevent heelside ass out. I'm pretty sure this guy normally rides hardboots, probably Swoard or a similar board. The technique is pretty much the same and works perfectly to get your angles up on such a wide board.
  23. Are the CAD designs also gone?
