Ray,Brian,Tim,Neil I just got back from mammoth and it was really good.I went to June on sat.way to thin we made to runs and went back to mammoth and the snow was good the main runs had plenty of coverage.San Anton down to world cup was awesome then finish the run to the last drop off to chair one was a leg burner. I didn't get one scracth all weekend.Terry got a few scrapes but nothing serious.I didn't even ride my rock board.Neil were did you ride? back side? I heard the top was thin so we stayed away.More snow on Thursday. Frank

Yeh I rub wax on my sidewalls for a little extra rail love. I started doing it on my Swoard and now I do it to all my boards. It is a planing surface.

Bob, I'll be at Mammoth or June depending on what crowds are like. June is less crowded on weekends.I rode Mammoth this last sat. sun. ok coverage on main runs but still needs a couple of feet to be good. My rock board got hammerd.It should be good by the time you get there. Frank

AK, Right on good to hear .I'm was starting to get worried that global warming is already here.Honestly it was 98 degrees on the west coast two days ago. I heard CO. was getting dumped on.Bryan how about the Great north west? Geoffv,I've been carving pavement myself but not the same.

I'm sitting in 90 degree weather just surfed the local beach break all to myself perfection shape hot off shore winds and all I can think about is snow wondering if someones carving some trenches.any session reports out there? Frank

Hey Bryan Yeh Chuck is a great guy and full of good energy.He was really one of the key players in making the first Sims boards back in the day and continues to have the passion to design and inovate new ideas.I had a chance to sit down with him and catch up shooting the sh-t about skateboards surfboards and of coarse snowboards.I have alot of good memorys of hiking the back country with Chuck trying out the first of his creations.He always had a whiskey flask on him to take off the chill when ever we would get lost he would say here try this it'll help. Joe It was the C street Longboard classic in ventura.I made it to the semi finals and got knocked out.I live a few miles back from C street and there was a raging fire getting to close for comfort.All I could think about in my heat was which boards I would take if we had to evacuate virus madds burners surfboards and guitars oh yeh and the kids baby pictures.Luckly the winds changed today and things are looking better. I just saw Chuck Barfoot at a surf contest I was in this weekend. He is doing well and making some nice looking skateboard decks and also making surfboard blanks out of styro for local shapers. Burton is also doing some good things for Channel Island surfboards he is lowering cost for a stock board and giving employees health benifits which they didn't have prior to the take over.Al Merrick is still head of design and still runing the show and shows up 9 to 5. Rode Mammoth Sat. sun. spring conditions saw Thomas .Fun for spring conditions lots of tee shirts and shorts being worn and lots of snow bunnies. Race coarse had the best groom but closed off. They pulled the ropes around noon and got some decent runs in. Frank

I couldn't make the event bald tires and taxes due hit me all at once. I hope it was a good turn out.Mammoth open until July 4th? Frank

Tim I made some runs with friends kids.And went back over to Rosa Mae by myself to finish the day.I'm bummed I missed Gdboytyler and other swoard riders.see you soon . Frank
