  1. I have an Access from last year. fibreglass 22.5 waist VSR decambered nose. It's a good Alpine board for me, but "all mountain" it's not, not at Powder King anyway. a board that is really stiff for a softboot board, but that makes it softer than my access I think. But a round kicktail or twin tip if you prefer always makes things seem soft when doing an off hill comparision. So a 180-185 burton frontier with a decambered nose and a little longer radius, that would rock.
  2. right now my hard boot allmountain board(powder) is a 2001 192 tanker 10.5r. It is a total noodle. awesome in powder and crud. But it's pretty soft for hard groomed. thinking about something a little shorter 185, little stiffer(not alpine board stiff), 11.5r no vsr with a decambered nose.
  3. So length of factory rack or lack of one isn't a big deal. I guesss. that's good they look like crap on flex. this way they can come off.
  4. Thanks for all the replys. I figured their was lots of imports that are wagons. I'm going to have to go shopping with a tape measure. Going to keep the 8.1L 2500hd, but should get something else. I like minivans but i'm not married and have no kids. Trying to find a used flex with a roof rack is hard.
  5. well i will keep it in mind. I hear shipping between canada and uk works good. How much for both?
  6. Anybody have any burton elevator risers collecting dust?
  7. well not sure how these snowboard boots compare to ski boot sizes. But ski boot volumes are refered to in mm of width. The narrowest ski boot I can fit is a 98mm technica icon. I have tried on Full tilt/raichle flexons which are listed in the full tilt catalogue at 96mm. I have tried on my friends raichle af 600's, and well I didn't get out my Inside micrometer and measure them but they must be in that 96mm range. I wouldn't say they had a wide heel, but that the heel pocket is not very pronounced. not much to grip the heel. The Deeluxe boots are based of this shell, lots of info/reviews on this site. Now my UPZ's feel like a 102mm towards the front, 98mm in the middle and 95mm in the heel pocket. I have never been in any ski boot built like that. But they are comfortable with a tight heel grip.
  8. What are some of you using for vehicles? Last time I looked at SUV's, finding ones with a long enough roofline for a big container or interior to carry a our long boards and my long skis. They were few and far between. Ford flex fit the best then.
  9. i want the burton race plates. how much for shipping, v1g 2z9. USPS is best for me. thanks
  10. His big boots ended up set 45/40 on the ride all-mountain board. with boots only slighty in from the edge of the board.
  11. incline vs. hazelwood Aside from the difference in listed waist widths and length. But you can order both as a custom size. I see a price deference. So what would be the difference if one was to odrer a custom width in a 180cm?
  12. I wish I had this problem. With 27.0 upz, I run the least amount of angle with no over hang. I'd say as long as your 45 or more on the front, just go with it. There will be a technique to make it work well. My experience is more angle than necessary, makes for an unforgiving ride. The board always feels like it has too much leverage on the boot. Having said that I have no experience with boards that narrow.
  13. You better get your butt up to PK. been hero carving conditions for four weekends straight. Read all the tech articles on here. I first tried on a 173 factory prime, carving it was easy. learning to make an edge transition sliding was another story. Learning that to get down the hill was key at first. were you testing it out at the Hart, then moved to tabor/purden Come ride with me and Greg(snowboardworm). He likes to instruct, I'll do the demos.
  14. I have ride boa crew's. A very stiff low profile softboot. dual boas. fairly low volume. supposed to be a 28 i say bull, fit like a 27, maybe even a small 27. not sure if they are above or below the insano. could use more forward lean built in. would fit better with my highback settings if they did. most are probably like that. They are currently collecting dust.
  15. ya it looked like a lot of fun again, I would like to make it next year. Unless I skip it for the real thing.
  16. the newer upz boots have a different cant plate at the hinge point. Then my 08 rtr's. Does this change the flex direction, like assm.? old ones have the screw in the center.
  17. ya if come next year I better buy a new coat.
  18. great weekend guys, I will try to bring snow with me again next year. And maybe two or three riders.
