  1. I kind of sort of gathered that. but wasn't sure. How many boarders are planning on making the trip?
  2. I'm in canada, a long ways north of the border. but whitefish is closer than some of the other ses events. I have friends in banff to visit on the same trip but driving would be a long ways. flying is an option. Anyway i guess my question is. How small of scale will this event be compared to the other two events. there's one in col, and east somewhere is that right
  3. Well the fact is no one will argue the fact that sidecut makes a difference. But I think what some are getting at is. Do they all deserve the sidecut? I'm just kiddin really, but when someone has a f1 car straped to there feet why not use it.
  4. dibs how well will they fit burton cartel do you think? too small for you what is your shoe size? i wear a 10 shoe. 27.5 technica ski boot, 27 upz rtr, vans hifax in a 10.5.(9.5 vans boot to small)
  5. well trip to cali, isn't really in the cards for me next year. So i'll have to take everybody's word for it. And buy one. Hey rj you should send me an email on the deal you may have on this years tanker. I'm mrwright59 later
  6. well the surf 180 looks perfect. but the price doesn't look so perfect.
  7. Ya it appears the general opinion is the 02-03 are the best for plates. But stiffer and heavier than later ones like the 04-05. I think the lighter one would be better for me. Not sure how my hard booting is going to work out anyway.
  8. Well it didn't sell on ebay so he says he will take 300. Or he's going to relist. RJ tells me it is a 03-04 is that good or bad.
  9. So the 160 alpine board is your only ride. cool
  10. ya i have burton factory prime 173. that thing is crazy i'll have to bring it out next weekend. See if it can destroy me in a highside crash.
  11. so you are 14 what size board do you ride? I'm 25 been skiing for 18 years. 30-40 days a year. Snowboard 12 days total doing very well at it. But the powder is not working for me yet. can't charge it like on skis.
  12. Well my freinds already think all thier praise for my new found riding skill has gone to me head. At that's what I thnk they don't comlement anymore. It's just 182 is huge but manageable but 192 and 200 is crazy. i'm not sure how i'll handle it.
  13. the glissade looks really cool. glad too see someone else building big boards. But too wide for me. Not all big boards are for big guys with big feet. just want lots edge in a design that's easy to handle. And does anyone know anything about venture snowboards?
  14. Hmm The narrow width the 192 has is not really an issue. I'll be riding either hard boots (upz that are crazy short) or Soft boots with burton 12mm elevators. But my freinds would think i'm nuts if I bought a 192 somewhere used. They would say it is too long but that would only be until they rode it. there was one ebay last week that didn't sell. 350 for a used 192 that's good deal right.
  15. i'm to far north for that. 1200 km's north of vancouver. ski at www.powderking.com there might be someone in prince george but highly unlikely
  16. demoing boards where i am is not possible. I rode a old supermodel i think they are shaped something like this. 298-248-292. I loved it so i'm not sure about going to 310-255-292 Unless I take to powder riding next like i have to carving on the groomed. Big pow days will be on skis most of the time.
  17. I'm somewhat reluctant to go with the slighty wider and more tapered tanker. Is it better allaround than an older narrow taanker. Or is it more work to ride than the ones under 250 at the waist.
  18. I'm 5'10" 185 lbs A skier who recently started Boarding. Have hard boot bindings and boots. But yet to feel as comfortable in them as the soft setup. Riding a hill with lots natural snow 1200cm avg, not any real steeps to speak of. Lots of places to make big turns. My friend often says we make turns for fun not cause we have to. Lots of good powder tree skiing/riding but nothing too tight. Currently riding a 2000 172 tanker and a burton Frontier 166. My freind who I learned to ride by watching him for ten years. (casi style) Let me ride his 181 supermodel, and I was amazed. So I started looking for something longer. came accross a 172 tanker on ebay and had no idea what is was. So I started doing some research. and bought it great board but longer is better. So here is what i'm considering for a new board. A New 182 tanker $699 or a custom board built by either Prior or venture ( let me know if there is someone better) Custom board to have dimensions of 300-248-292 180 cm long. the custom board will cost $950-985. What should I do?
  19. So Does anyone know if rad-air is changing anything for next year. Maybe a big board in a narrow quick width like the old ones. Hopefully a 182 tanker with a width under 250 at the waist.
