  1. Anyone know if that chair will be running tomorrow.
  2. Well I'm on trip so boot fitting is possible. Normally I'm six hours from someone that knows anything. I have put the broke in liners from my old rtr in and so far so good.
  3. Steve what radius of boards are those priors
  4. Anyone riding washington next week.
  5. My opinion on the stance, it will take some time to get used. How quickly it will take will depend on a few things 1. Current stance angles 2. The correlation between your boot length, board width which will dictate your stance angles. Getting used to 45/40 or 50/45 versus 70/65 could be a whole different ball of wax. 3. How quickly you dial your stance cant and lift 4. How stiff of boots and bindings you start with. not in any particular order.
  6. I always bring snow and cold from the north. I came a day early so they can make it hero groom for friday.
  7. You may be right Timeless I'm thinking now that the firmness of the liner is hurting my heel. as my back foot gets held in the liner, may be my setup. But I know some will say throw the stock liners away. In case somebody is interested, Wow does a flo liner in a head boot ever make it feel big. The head liner in a upz no way can't even get my foot in.
  8. thanks for the reply. The liner does shift in the boot when they aren't tight feels weird for sure. but once tight they feel snug. well opposite end of your toes really, not the bottom of the heel but the back. Stand with your back to the wall with your feet against it, right where the wall would touch the back of your foot.
  9. Well I bought them. From a friend. Cause they won't sell at our swap. .I haven't gov around to posting them for thirty dollars. .if. i. Brought them i. Don't.want to take them home. I. May also bring. My head's for backup my heel. Is getting sore
  10. Ok so the UPZ flo liner has good heel hold, but does this with having a very thin spot in the liner. In a hard toe side carve it feels like my heel is digging into the plastic shell. Doesn't feel nice, anyone experience this, and try and remedy it by adding a little padding on the outside of the liner?
  11. I have a pair of old raichle's sitting here not 100% if they are 28 or 29.
  12. Anyone have easy access to some t-nuts for my new upz boots. I used some 1/4" unc Robertson head screws on the last ones. But the head could have fit the counterbore in the toe block better. They were too loose. the ones they put in the heel from the factory are perfect.
  13. Of course the snow comes from a gun, it doesn't actually snow in those mountains does it.
  14. Stock flo liners of the UPZ have a definite breakin period. my boots hurt like hell at first, but broke in they fit great no complaints. The hard plastic tongue of the liner does add stiffness though. so some say the a thermal liner does two things for you I that case. My foot is 100mm wide I'd call it very near max width for the upz before mods.
  15. I have a pair of pretty much new Head stratos 27.5 for sale. I will bring them to NES if there was interest.
  16. Cool, seems so official now. I'm hoping to bring a couple who aren't on the forum with me. Not sure If Greg(snowboardworm) is going.
  17. well I started skiing in 90. wanted to hardboot since I first seen it on Black Diamond Rush. Then more when my friends started in 97'. I Still had lots to learn on skis at this point so I waited. I then started softbooting in 07 for the sole purpose of hard booting later. I still ski 50 percent of my days, softboot a little, mostly just to teach.
  18. are they gone? pm sent
  19. It's not as bad as it sounds. maybe i'll thrown them in for show and tell at NES. When a person actually sees the crack, if he can find it in the first place. It's not a whole lot different than t-nutting an intec heel on. I hope the next set last longer than 40 days. those green rc10's sure look sweet though. I believe snow packed on the boot was a contributing factor. I have an almost new pair of heads but need to see a boot fitter for a few days.
  20. the ledge that the toe block slides onto is cracked. Now that it is t-nutted there is no flex anymore.
  21. So I have some UPZ RTR boots. running on standard bails, so I never t-nutted them. Then last year I noticed some flex in one toe block, and a wet toe. So I pulled the blocks for the first time for an inspection and I found a crack. So I t-nutted them and finished the season. SHOULD THEY BE RETIRED?
  22. So i passed an edge today, it had a ski box on it. Quite a long one overhanging the window. I didn't think this was a good idea, with the distance from the cross bar creates a great deal of leverage. I imagine the wind would more likely be able to rip it off the car. Has anyone ever done this or seen it done. What are some other brands of ski carriers besides yakima and thule. I have seen a few that are long and tapered. but with square corners.
