  1. Glad you had a great day, too bad the season at MSLM is over. I am going to keep my eyes open for a deal to go to either the Eastern Townships, Maine or Vermont. Don't want the season to end yet. All the best, Rob
  2. Gord: Sorry for not getting back, but my buddy was out of town. He had no recommendations, but his suggestion is beating down the dealer - market is slow - if they want to make the sale - let them find a cheaper method. All the best, Rob
  3. OldVolvo: It must come with our internal programming. I am also a fly fisherman up here in Ontario Canada. How many other hardbooters fly fish. All the best & tight lines. Rob
  4. DB: I might be interested - have more of a volume problem, than that of shin bang. I am assuming that there are a pair of them. Please feel free to e-mail me. All the best, Rob
  5. Rob: The only problem is once they finish hooting and hollering at us carving huge turns, they forget about the space we need to do waht we do. I am amazed at the number of people that compliment you, then turn around and cut you off the next run. The bulk of the skiers and soft booters on the hill are clueless and they put our lives in danger. Just me 2 cents Rob
  6. What is worse than $500 for a board and bindings, is the fact that this woman expects $499.00 for a pair of Prada Ski poles. Could you imagine some poor bastard showing up at the hill with this board, he would be laughed off the mountain. Rob
  7. I don't think the board is four holed, I think it is the fancy bag attached to the board. Only my guess. Rob
  8. Dave: I knew you would be on this quick!!!! The board is here in Toronto, Canada - no idea how it got here./ All the best, Rob
  9. For those who choose fashion over function, check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36297&item=7139597855&rd=1 It looks like Burton is still making carving boards, but not for the likes of us. All the best, Rob
  10. Gabe: I am in for this weekend - which day are you thinking about. The weather keeps shifting - now it looks like Sunday will be the nicer day. Talk to you tomorrow. Rob
  11. Gabe: I am in for this weekend @ MSLM - not sure which day yet. How was the West - snow?????? Let's talk Thursday. All the best, Rob
  12. Goat: Might be a possibility. I have heard that we might be getting a large snowstorm, but with the weather we have been experiencing who knows. I will confirm on Wednesday. All the best, Rob
  13. Scott: If you want to try to deal north of the border - I know of a shop in Whitby, Ontario - Canada who have one pair of Head Stratos (do not know if they are Pro's) in 29.5. If they are still available (they were as of last Friday), the shop was asking $250.00 Canadian. Here is their number - 905-665-2010 Best of luck. Rob
  14. From my conversations with Dave Morgan, it was my understanding that Bruce was planning to to reduce the number of boards he produced from the 120+, down to 80 next season. This will allow him to continue doing the quality work we have all enjoyed and expected from Coiler as well spend time working with Jacey Jay as well as enjoying a little of the short season we get. Bruce like to comit to production and deliver when promised. I think the main reason he has sold out so early, is the reduction in total number of boards being produced in 2005/06. I think there was a cliche - "early bird gets the worm" All the best, Rob
  15. Chris/John: Just wanted to thank you for organizing such a great day at Osler. I was great to get out with everyone and I think we really shocked the club members with the number of carvers present. Once again, thanks for your effort and hopefully we can do it again. All the best, Rob
  16. Henry: You might want to talk with Chris Houghton. I know he had a Prior carving board that his son used over the past few seasons. I do not know if it is available, but well worth a call. All the best, Rob
  17. Hey Guys: After an epic day last weekend - let's do it again. From the e-mails I have been receiving - sounds like Saturday is going to be the day that most people are heading up. See everyone there early on Saturday. All the best, Rob
  18. Nekdut: I have the same problem - skinny ankles. My suggestion is go to a ski/board shop that does boot fitting. Get them to give you some adhesive foam - cut it into a heel cup (shaped like a swallow tail) and stick it right above your heel. This will force the liner into the back of your ankles and provide a heel cup, keeping your heel down in the boot. I am in the process of doing this right now. Hope it helps, Rob
  19. Hey Guys: Just wondering what everyone's plans are for this weekend. Looking at the weather - we are getting 10 - 15 cm of snow tomorrow, so I was planning on heading up to MSLM on Sunday. Is anyone planning to head out. All the best, Rob
  20. Gord: My best suggestion is to contact Bruce Varsava at Coiler. He has the tools, skills and know-how to fix it, the only problem is that he is always incedibly busy. He would be your best solution to get the job done right. All the best, Rob
  21. Carve 234: Check the Bomber store - I thought I saw a couple of pairs of 30's available and the price is right, plus Fin has fantastic customer service. All the best, Rob
  22. Hey Gord: Where can I find this Factory - sounds like great deals and great carving gear. Looking forward to riding with you at Osler in February. All the best, Rob
  23. What great conditions yesterday. To those who made it up to MSLM - what a great day a carving. I was amazed that after all the rain and warm temps that the conditions could be so great. Arthur - great having seeing you out. Chris - now with the sexy Virus Gabe - lowest carves on the hill Andrew - nice to meet you and love the graphics on your Prior I got the Madd set-up properly (thanks Jack Michaud) and absolutley love it. I know it it is early, but what are the plans next weekend, sister-in-law is in town, so I have both days free. All the best, Rob
  24. Hey Guys: I know we have had a lot of rain in the last couple days, but I was wondering if anyone is heading up to Mount St. Louis this weekend. Look at the web cams and the hills are still white. If anyone is going - which day. All the best, Rob
  25. Shred: Love the look of your new toy. I find the best way to take pics of boards, especially with a digital cam, is take them in the dark. The camera flash does not cause as much glare on the shiney topsheet, but it does fully provide full color. Just a thought, Rob
