What is the ONE board that makes you smile
0815-fahrer replied to Ernie00's topic in Carving Central
Mine would probably be Max´s Virus Cyborg "BlingBling" (not driven yet). My Virus Evo-Cyborg is too stiff for a daythrough board but: compared to Sharkey´s Bling (bit too weak) which i drove a week ago and comparing it with my stiffer Evo it is almost determing the middle: MaxBling ! Playfullness and without compromizes... strange, but true. !!!! That must be the blast:1luvu: -
Dear fellow carvers. Some of you have already heard of, or been to carving masters festival in May last season. The feedback we´ve received then from participants and the manufacturers was genuinely positive. This encouraged us to organise the festival again this season from May 1st to May 3rd, 2009. In 2008, the most European manufacturers for carving snowboards and equipment as well as more than 200 carving fans from 13 different countries turned up in Soelden, Austria – and in 2009 you can once again expect a great carving session with heaps of possibilities to lead discussions, try out testing material, party and, most importantly, carve till you drop. The official festival programme will start on Friday (party, courses etc). Most manufacturers, however, will be arriving on Thursday, so attendants may want to consider pulling a sicky or taking this day off as well… Also, we will be having a carving competition again this season for which the world cup slope on the Rettenbach glacier will be roped off. The competition is planned to take place on Friday and we will try to tighten the schedule in order to quicker determine the Carving Master 2009. You will find detailed information in regards to the competition in the ‘News’ section of the website. Registration for the 48 contest participants (Gold Passes) has just started. To all the Bomber people and carvers from the Bomber-Forum, please feel free to join the contest or the event. You can check on the details on the website www.carving-masters.de Contest participants are limited to 48, half of them are given away already. So don´t waste time! Cheers, and have a good carving season Eric Special greetings to the SES´08 attendants. Cannot make it this year:( www.frozen-backside.de www.carving-masters.de

+1 for pogokoenig especially when it gets tough, like icy, narrow, shoved bumps or crowded, I need the rotation to get down at all.. or at least to keep my speed under control, not to be a human rocket. whoever has been to the SES08 and met the crazy germans (Max, Markus and me, although I am Dutch:eek:) and were on the slopes, might have seen this rotation technique. Max can do it in perfection, you can hardly tell the difference between front and heelside. main difference is that the upper body is perpendicular to the board (as much as possible) and you rotate shoulders inward, over your normal point about 30-45 degrees (depending on board etc.) ach... here´s the vid to that... enough of blabla go out and try... if it doesn´t work for you, what have you lost? PS: tried a Donek FC1 with this few weeks ago.... yammy... that went good!!! so it´s not a board problem.

If you want to see the whole action: here it is last sequence of the film http://www.myvideo.de/watch/4139908/FCM_08_vorschau PogoKoenig is going to :AR15firinme for this so: get your edit...... sorry for the awsome quality of that movie but hey... main thing is that the PK flies on his front and sniffs snow I also know that I was on this board shortly.... and it only went straight.... this one definitely needs balls of steel

Carved - a shortfilm about extreme carving
0815-fahrer replied to Jonas Rejman's topic in Carving Central
Hi Jonas, thank you for your explenation. As you state that it is a private initiative as such, than i assume everything is OK to provide the download for a financial donation. Although volunteerly would even have more charm. Main thing is and remains that it promotes the sport itselves. Thanks to you and everybody else who all do so. Eric -
Carved - a shortfilm about extreme carving
0815-fahrer replied to Jonas Rejman's topic in Carving Central
wow... really great, !!! --- I guess--- but I will never be able to see it, because... I am not willing to pay for any brand promotions or their recordings. "hey, got a new toy, pay me and I show ya" - i would never donate to whomever person who is selling items, or is connected to: "a brand". this thought even makes me sick. Here I would even say that the brand has to come to me as a customer freely without charge of course maybe at meetings or sessions... their uplifts would justify it. but the filmmaterial freely given to try to pursuade me is the least. What are you doing NOW to get in shape for carving season?
0815-fahrer replied to shawndoggy's topic in Carving Central
life is a bi*ch have to work in sommer, a chairjob.. why else would I get free time for boarding in winter?? this ensures only one thing: ..aching muscles at season´s start.. attempts for preventing this: -climbing the stairs at the job site multiple times a day (be sure you take different hallways so it doesn´t appear as such) - take one of them backwards (yes... stairs upwards--> face down, then stairs backwards--> face up)--> still differ in hallways, they will think you are GaGa when discovered:D even some sideways inbetween try it! Eric -
double "ouch" here...... never owing drinks... but "sacrificials" the holy bow-from-the-butt as promised <(teaching session)> never took place while Mr. TVR was not Slopeable... or equivalent: never seen riding... got some shots drinking though...:D

at least the sky-bar bill was somehow split...

Where to start?? -2nd season after long being away, reason shoulder trashed in 2000.. -first season with more than 10 days on snow -first season with more than 4 days-in-a-row... -first season "on edge" highlights: -got to learn a lot of terribly nice people -those terrible people really infected me -that infection lead to "insane carvingship" -got to learn how to ride a bit MegaHighlight: -seasonticket in Sölden paid off -SES2008.. way côôl, great people, next year we´ll be up again !! (here I speak for Max, markus, myselves and some other will follow soon) here´s the proof again: -seasons end in Sölden Austria: the Free Carving Masters was incredible Tearsheds: -having to "give up" at SES day 6-7.... I was just a wreck -breaking my leg at easterboarding... but hey, that was day 40!! -spent an awful amount of $$$ I am happy with season ´07 /´08:1luvu:

Thor, please wish him all the best from the Frozen-Crew !! We met Kimo at the SES.

don´t know if Al is going to like your remark there, max...:lol: Okay... for everyone... a small count says that the frozen crew could be with 10 people at the SES next year !!! YEEEHAH !!!!!!!!!! Including some video professionals maybe :D:D

SEJ and others... i know we (from Europe) cannot distribute this... makes no sense at all. Our good friend Alex spent about 50-60 hrs. to get that vid done, and he did it just for us 3 crazy idiots, only out of compassion, since he is a trench graver too. (AND will be with us next year at the SES ´09). So, my suggestion is to contact Alex directly at www.push-me.com maybe you can work some out..
