  1. no discussion on that thing from my side... I know you have a Vampire.. but this babe (also Bitch) comes with something like the Undertaker scr and edges.... and I will predict..... this is something serious to think about for the IceCoast guys (and Gals) round here at BOL
  2. you got it!!:) The board was so terrible, S.P.Y. had to drag it behind the car for exactly 34.29 meters to get the perfect base tune @Jack: noticed the board too??:D
  3. I felt like sharing this with you, a 2011 prototype, uncovered recently. here it is http://vimeo.com/11186812 to be tested at the carving masters next week www.carving-masters.de
  4. thanks for posting this, Ray... I, (and I guess we as European Hardbooters all are) am very proud of this weekend. Thanks to Simon and Jörg of Pureboarding, this became one of the most memorable hardbooting happenings ever....... what a incredible spirit was in the air there !!! It even convinced the weathergods Several others would be in the contribution line too... nominated for CarvingOscars... Ray, hope you are doing well after your "reconneissance" with the Alps and their specifics. I missed you and Anja extremely as I was looking so forward to meet once again.... Cheers Eric
  5. Hi Phil, first of all: the pictures you had taken at the first FCM 2 years ago were awesome, unreal, not from this world... absolutely the best I´ve ever seen. Maybe we should get in touch on this topic. You can probably forget the competition itselves, but for a planned freecarving-photosession there probably will be some volunteers that skillfully can drive their beloved stick as close as you want them to. There is just one catch,... the FCM is a non profit game. The organizers work their asses off, but do not (want to) earn a penny, nickel or dime. Neither the helpers or whoever. This is pure ideology. Please PM me over the FB-Forum, if the idea is correct, and pray for some decent Snow in May cheers Eric
  6. I tell you, it is hard to bend this baby,..... If somebody wants to test it, in Austria, just raise your hand:ices_ange Virus Cyborg Evolution 1, stiffffffffff
  7. Good thing Fin, case is closed since post #38 anyways....
  8. I and some more on this side of the pond use them too. Very nice with the long sleeve and the Keprotec. But they do need some modding too. - directly apply Sikaflex 252 or 221 on all seams and surfaces. - get rid of the plastic clips at the sleeves, they will tear up there. - I glued 3 fingers together, just in case for hitting an ice block or so. - always use liners in them, as they are way too cold without. Here a picture of Harald´s pair after one day of carving WITHOUT modding the surfaces:
  9. hey People.. will someone be there in Sölden from 5th till 10th...?? anyone want to join? (got to practice a bit for the big finale in May:ices_ange)
  10. Good to hear, Bola... Will be there from 5th till 10th or so... Remember the "Crazy Germans" from SES08?? We will be waiting for you cheers Eric
  11. I was just thinking of a way to break them in the easy way... Since the Flow liners set themselves better at room temperature, do it at home ! Either wear them, or, if you have an old wooden floor (like Boris:eplus2:) or big wide old board, bolt some bindings down at your favourite stance and angles and carpet surf in a warm environment, and jam those buckles a bit more every x minutes when they feel looser. you can massage away pressure points (push away the gel foam) if you locate them, to accellerate the breaking in a bit. Again, in a warm environment.. This is how I will do it tomorrow, (yes, bolt down bindings to the floor:biggthump) Will be a scream , I´ll try to make a picture of the "setup" On the other hand, some one else went boarding in a "out of the box pair" which were unworn and new, and taken out of an icy cold car (at -5°C) He was happy too...
  12. well..... it was.... ehm... COLD and cool too:eplus2: Frank made me ride a nice new board, and I rode another nice other new one...
  13. Allee... I am sure you´ve got the right approach.. they need to be "worn in" got mine this Weekend, first just for test. Boarded about an hour, but sticked in them the rest of the day. Next day boarded 2 hours, sticked in them too for the rest of the day.... I feel they get better with time.... still very early but I hope I can say more next week if I have put some time on those babys. (and I will do some carpet carving here too!) PS: didn´t even take my Track700 in the car for day 3... and I normallyalways bring double gear up
  14. I´ll try... so wheel-end to wheel-end is 10.5 inches wheelbase at 28" , total board length 31"
  15. thanks ! that would make those 255mm:lol: was a hell of a lot of fun doing approx 30-40 knots, having a windsurfing sail on it.
  16. sorry for my NotKnowingly question... but what do those sizes mean? inner bearing to inner bearing? outer to outer? just checked my selfmade board from 1986 for streetsurfing, which is at the wall, widest trucks for that time, they give me 190mm inner to inner bearing.
  17. rofl... this is some serious schwag !!! The Width, the Angles, the Stance, and the fact that I know BennyBoy tells me this is nooooo goood !!! (For sure the little Plaquette tells me the same:-) )
  18. my current favourite: silent sneek pic in May ´08: still belonging to Max. (pic1) at at the same place, one year later, different owner (mine now), in the same type hardshell protection cover :) (pic2)
  19. Hi Zanci, (and others in Europe) why don´t you try to be there at the season´start in Europe to do some serious testing? I assume that, at the weekend of the first of november, there will be quite some possibilities. Last year we started off, had about 50+ people on hardboots there and some companies came to enlighten us with new stuff to demo:eplus2:. There were: - Doneks, Alpinepunks (represented by www.Freecarve.de) - Oxess (represented by Oxess themselves - Goltes (represented by Jani Goltes himselves) - Virus (represented by Virus themselves) I assume they will be there too again, at the least to my last status. It was there where I fell in love with my new toy, that served me 50+ days the last season already. Most of us have privately several boards which you could test too. (Lots of Virusses, Oxess, Pogo) It will take place on the glacier in Sölden, Austria. So probably best conditions too !
  20. Zylon: It´s been done already. Ask Frank, Ray, Bola, TVR or whoever else that drives a Virus board decently The most responsive board ever in my opinion
  21. I am with Max on the goofy thing.... You regulars go south !!! But seriously, I have got that bending problem.... whenever I am too slow, insecure or when the slopes are ****ty, I bend to get the turn initiation, then stretch. Even counterrotate if needed. Than fastly swift weight backwards to rescue it all. This also is to avoid to get too fast too early on steeper pitch. It´s normal I guess, untill you are totally or more secure. Ray, we drove together 1.3 years ago and I hope that has stayed in your memory so you can evaluate this comment cheers Eric
