How much difference did the slot make? I have a 5mm too and find it very very stiff, was considering cutting a slot or slot with holes. Thanks

I have the shorts (V1 ski shorts). They are super comfortable as compared to the other impact shorts I have tried. Comfortable enough to wear during a 2 hour car ride from Tremblant to Ottawa. They work great as well, I have fallen several times while wearing them. They are way less bulky. I have previously used Red, Burton and Demon brand shorts I also have a POC hardshell spine protector (Ergo Bug) that I want to trade up to the VPD version. Well worth the money IMHO

I'm leaning towards the Gatineau Ski Patrol pass again that Johnny found last year. No info on their website yet for it though. I started fussing with the gear two weeks ago. I am so ready for some snow. From a pass perspective it does not matter to me where we do our Tuesdays (or whatever night we choose). From a riding perspective; my preference would be. 1-Edelweiss 2-Vorlage 3-Cascades 4-Fortune //Paul

My son was at Fortune last night and said crowds were smaller than normal..... The Tremblant webcam has a good sized lineup at 7:50am and those are just the people who have "1st tracks". I am going to keep an eye on it today/tomorrow before deciding on Friday

I'm out for tonight at Cascades. Sunday morning was awesome at Edelweiss, I am going to try Wednesday night there again this week instead. FYI for all...it is Quebec March break this week but not Ontario. I have no clue how this will impact crowds at Cascades or Edelweiss though.

Agreed 100%. Mont Tremblant, in Quebec has the responsibility code written (yes;in French and English) on the back of the napkins in all the resort cafeteria's. I grab them by the handful and keep them in my pockets and have actually had to hand one out to a skier after a near collision and ensuing "discussion". Unfortunately this is the only hill I am aware of that does this.
