I sold enough on Fleabay so I could get a Tanker.. a tit for tat... thing.. I got a 182 as the next would have been a 200 which would be very impractical to travel with and only use it basically once a year.. so the 182 got the nod !! If that don't work.. my Coiler AMS 188 is coming..shhhhhhhh sckhitt did I say that out loud...? AMS= "All Mountain Schtubby" woo hoo.... Just kidding..... Maybe not? Can't wait to see the Tank!! Im now in panic mode.. I quickly picked up the Red Coiler phone and asked Bruce about this... Won't you know it..he's Out testing this Morning... I didn't see any.. I remember all the talk about how you don't want any more or additional surface area bolted down on the board as it disturbs the natural flex of the board...now we are saying bolt down 3/4 inch plywood to keep it from breaking...Then when zie vood gets big enough.. we will toss the metal..and ride the plywood.... Dam Bordy...now we will be back to wood skis like Hans in the chalet skiing to his cousin again in Zie Alps.. (always love that story on the lift chair you told).. Im assuming that the top helps..and helps through disspersion of linear or perhaps radial harmonic frequencies thought out the entire length of the board and not stop at the end of the plate. At this point Im not even sure the plex plate is the answer.. I bet there is better plate material with better properties to dissipate the pressure more evenly throughout the interface. Something that is Stiff..yea has some good vibromatic dampening qualities... Like your head!! ahahhaahddhaaahaha... YOU read this!!! ehhh ahhaahahaa... Now I know for sure... I said Stiff and Vibromatic!!

Im no Aerospace Engineer or anything... but after soaking in all these metal top boards this is my take on it.. Everything has its weakest point.. In some industries you go through a HALT testing Qualification period "Highly Accelerated Life Testing" where you basically shake the Krap out of something or in this case Ride the Krap out of something and find out where it breaks.. Then you fix it... Then you do it all over again.. and again and again.. Like an Envirionmental Stress Screening. My point being is that the metal keeps searching for its next stress point to fold at or crease at... it went from the binding and I'll bet the next point its going to crease at is at the edge where the plex plate is and the metal.. If the plex plate doesn't have a sufficient chamfer along the edge of it ..it will really increase its chances.. Then what happens..you make the plate longer.. then it seeks out to the edge of that plate.. Soon you will have one big plate over the entire board.. hmmm Called a Topsheet.... Nope never got it.. Something is fishy... Because my second choice was the Sims with the speckled base...Same as a Hooger Booger Next 1..which is still floating around among the gang up here.. Anyway it was about the same time that board vanished from there site like it was sold after I tried getting the Crazy board.... Now a few weeks later the Sims is back up... I can't tell by looking at them what model they are.. Its a no frills basic construction board.. I blew my out using old TD's But if they have the 4 hole pattern.. Its a good start! For the price and not used..what do ya have to loose.. agian its just your basic alpine board.. But I don't trust that Place..There was a crazy Banana Board which had the zebra base like the PJ7 had.. it was listed for 29.99 or best offer..I offered 20 for it..they declined so I went to 25 and they still declined.. four bucks difference. so why offer a "best Offer" If all they wanted was 29.99 . I didn't get that.. Also I emailed them about it.. and all they said in there response is what you see is what ya get... I suppose.. but their pictures suked ASRSss! So who knows who they are.. if they are listening...???

John.. thats where Im at... I need to sell something to get something..So my pride and joy My MADD BX 168 is up for sale and hopefully turn its self into the Tanker 182.. I can't stop looking at it on the RAD Air site.. and the waist is better than going wider.. How stiff are they? have you twisted and flexed a new one? The short side cut will not bother me at all.. Im not a fast rider..just cruise on groom..Nice controlled carves while drinking tea in my carves.. Im sure the 182 is hopefully capable of that.. Like I said if I can ride a Rome 158 with plates and carve it.. the Tanker gots to be able to do the same but with a ton more stability.. Keep the info coming..Im hoping I won't be dissapointed.. all roads say no way..:)

Well about the biggest board I can carry is the Tanker 182... which would still make it the longest Ive got.. problem is portability.. I would have to buy now a board bag capable of carry such a 200 stick.. I don't ride powder..its the exception.. so I want to get some use on it on soft groomer here in. the midwest as well.. Im thinking that I won't like the width of the 187 just to wide.. I think ..My BX is around 24.5 or 25.. so going with the 182 seems practical.. not to mention crowd friendly.. But will it Hold.. I know the 200 will be way more stable..it has more edge.. but if im carving up with a BX board at 168.. won't the 182..be sufficient..and should be more torsional still due to it not bieng as wide? usually thats how it works.. less likely to fold the nose on groom.. And if I have powder then Im set.. well thats where Im heading.. Bigger than 182 is going to be a hassle.. not to mention a 200 out here will serve no purpose other than a wow factor... which would be cool.. but even getting it in a car will be a problem.. So...182? Anyone riding one and carving it..? I was hoping someone who is a hardbooter by nature and knows my riding could help... This I can't believe is a hard choice...especially with me... Well I want to get this out there so people who are going to the SES Have a chance to bid on it... or buy it outright.. Top is in excellent condition and the base will be sold with a fresh base prep wax and tune... This is the Details.. Helmut Karvlow (Gary) will be doing the SES all week thru.. He is Bringing My BX For Back up incase you get nothing But POW.. He will be the contact for the Deal.. Chances are he won't need to ride but he may want to try it since he doesn't have a POW or wide board and I been trying to talk to him to do it.. So it can be Picked up at the SES.. Unless.. This is the Skinny I have the Price at $585.. That Buys it right NOW.. or delivered to the SES with helmut and he will have the shop do the tune so its all done... Other wise it will have a for sale sign on it and the best offer gets it at the End of the SES...there is a minimum or reserve if you will. All dealings when the SES starts will be through Helmut..he knows what my minimum price I need for it... He is staying at the Bomber House... You can email me and talk to me ahead of time if you wish. if you want to talk a deal before he leaves after that... its the SES gang to Poach it.. Like I said $585 takes it right now or at the SES.. when he gets there..Thats with the shipping included and or Hand Delivered to the SES..so think of it that way as well...it like $550 plus shipping..
