  1. Well after some discussions with RJ ... and some Traveling considerations.. I narrowed it down to either a new 182, or 187,.. 200 would just be too much of a hassle to travel..and would be even more limited use for where Im at..I want to ride it more than once a year.... But maybe you can talk me into it.. I emailed a few of you so I could talk to ya and get some good feed back so look in the mail.. or email me if you got something you can tell me...will chat.. You look at the specs and what not... and its a tuffy... I certainly would love to have it narrower waist but want to stay at 187... but the 182 has the narrow waist... Will I loose a lot of stability with the 182..or you think since I'll be in hard boots and better angles that it actullly will work better.. But I do want to be able to bomb through the bumps and slush and stuff.... So do I go with a 187 or possibly a 200... Help...........help....... If Bruce would make me a Schtubby Tanker..Id do it!! uhhh ohhh... Right said Shred
  2. Well most of the posts on this thread I don't think I have ever met you guys.. but I am really intrigued by this Tanker thing..and have been for a couple of years...Im thinking of pulling the trigger on a brand new o7/08 187 tanker.. I ride with plates..thats that.. I can't handle tha pain of soft boots put on my ankles ..so used to being able to use a hardboot interface.. Im not planning on riding it on ice but nice groom it will see and crud and mashed potato snow..slush.. and an occasional Big Mountain Montana dump.. They sound like fun to ride and cruise around on..then have a board if it dumps... just an additonal stick for certain situations.. but again mainly on soft groom so I don bury it..like you would with a narrow alpine board.. \ I Never ridden one.. I have a wide bx and like it with plates though.. You think I should pull the trigger on this..?? or is this going to be a noodle... Right Said Shred...

  7. Yes..well said Bruce thanks... Its exacly that.. much easier under foot to flex it to turn tighter.. then all nice and stable at higher speeds.. The 161 is really a mind bender.. And the metal..is just so nice and damp and smooth.. Bruce is getting dam good at these metals... After the 161 orginal schtubby there was no going back.. So here are some photos..

  17. For about two years in the 90's right after the innercourse. There was the buyers guide that Showed a board called the Asbestos Comp. I bug them for two years to build it... They said they never got the materials.. and never build it..and then they dropped all alpine initiatives.. and that was that.. Too bad the asbestos comp was suppost to be around 147cm.... Dam them.... Dam them all to hell...;):eek:
  18. Well I love having a large quiver to choose from...its now down to nothing..I mean nothing..until a few coilers show up.. But one board area I don't have is a long board.. So with that said.. is it even worth entertaining the idea of getting a Lib Tech Skunk Ape 180 or similar.. obviously most time spent is on gruumers... So if they are really out of their environment on the groom Should I just stick with a BX board like my Madd.. I just think it would be a kick in the pants to ride a 180 which Im sure would be nice and cushy ride...Not expecting it to be an Ice board but should hold on well packed cold groom.. Just debating whether or not to get one..at the end of the season..And fun Factor.. Thanks Guys.. Right Said Shred
  19. I know a lot of you guys rant on about the Tanker 200... Im Kicking myself because for years a local friends shop had a Lib Tech Doughboy 190..and I should have just pick it up..just to have it....... Now they replaced them with the Skunk Ape and comes in sizes 172, 180 and 190cm as well... Also did some looking around and the Nidecker legends Ultimate Grip 172 is purty.. Any you guys ride these... how they hold up on plates and goom... Just looking.. Wanted to realy know about the Skunk Ape.. You guys up in Washington and Oregon ...anyone?? ???

  24. And I don't mean I luv..Jack...no offense Jack..your great and all...:) Im a Jacketaholic..can't stop buying them..One looks cooler than the next..and its a case of the "gotzta haves" I get em bad..especially when they say chit like 'mountain Hardware" the name alone suggests you will ride better.. Or you'll carve up the mountain and attack it like some Japanese Monster movie Staring! "Arc Tyrex".... Right Said Shred
