  1. I bought a pair of clear goggles (mail order) but they do not offer as much peripherial vision as I would like. So last night I wore a decent pair of safety glasses and they worked fine for the 90 minutes I rode.
  2. www.sportlegs.com Works for me if going for multiple days, best to start with on day one. Also helps me to change gear from a carving board in the a.m. to an allmtn board (Axis or 4WD) or even skis after lunch.
  3. Enjoy the shows http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=40
  4. TuneUps has an in-line mute button that I clipped to the shorter chin strap on my helmet, near my jaw bone. But no volume control.
  5. Bring on Saturday . . . . looks like a full moon tonight!
  6. Google "pronation" for a reference. Factoid from AASI's magazine the pro rider "about 15% of people have normal feet that, esentially, rest in a perfectly neutral position. Some 60 to 70% have feet that pronate to varying degrees and approximately 15% have feet that supinate, again, to varying degrees." IMO - comfort is key. BTW - I have customs in both my Raichle's and ski boots and off the shelf Superfeets in my other "daily" footwear.

  9. Eric - Great shots! I liked the rooster tail and rail grabs.

  13. Socks - try a liner, they could be Lycra. That is usually all I wear on my feet. <O:p Stank - remove the liners to make certain they are dry. If you did not remove or dry after daily use you may have a funk growing? If so, then disenfect as stated in one the adjoining posts. You may also want to remove your liners after the next time you ride to see if they are damp and allow them to dry. You could apply some spray deodorant / anti-perspirant to your feet before you boot up. This should reduce your odor plus help to keep your feet dry (warmer).
  14. Welcome back Eric! http://www.pureboarding.com/pureboarding/index.php?id=159
  15. http://sportlegs.com/about/welcome.asp Available on line. In Aspen too, check the link for locations.
  16. Dave, Have someone who may be in the market for a board that could accomadate a size 14 foot. Needs to find boots too. Is this board still available? pdwlc at comcast.net
  17. Valerie - if you can, get up to Park City and hook up with the gang from http://hardbooter.com/ their session is on now thru Feb 5th. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=9707
  18. Willy, First day riding with the Leedom, my 2nd day riding, I caught a heel and smacked the back of my head hard. Leedom inspcected and said I cracked the styro @ impact and the reprocussion cracked the front too. Rebuilt the lid for $30. Two years later the chin strap wore out? Sent it back and once again they found a crack in the liner. So now I am on the third liner. Lately I have been wearing a Giro 9 with the "TuneUps" - speakers in the ear flaps. The Giro is light and comfy.
  19. Keep em coming Scott, thanks! Party on!! Utah Winterfest In Park City Not one to forget history, Park City celebrates their Olympic legacy Feb. 3-12. The four-year anniversary of the 2002 Olympic Games coincides with the 2006 Olympic Winter Games and features a dog sled race, concerts, fireworks, and an Olympic Opening Ceremonies celebration. (435) 649-6100.
  20. LEEDOM - If your helmet is involved in an impact or collision, it may not be suitable for further protective use. My Giro helmet has a similar warning label - designed for one impact then replace. 21. What about $$$ for the garage? Gotta have our PRIORities ;)
  22. Not sure what else to put in mine - the profile picture is already perfect! Neil, Suppose you could add another photograph to your public profile.
  23. Not as good as what comes from Mexico but as good as most other knock offs: 9 Cups sugar 4 Cups water 20 teaspoons instant Folger's (coffee) Simmer the above on stove for 20 to 30 minutes and stir occasionally Then allow to cool to room temp. I have rushed the process by setting the pan in a cool water bath. Add 7 teaspoons of vanilla 1/2 gallon of Vodka Makes about 1 gallon. Have done smaller proportions with quality results but I will allow you to do the math.
  24. IMO - best snow / least people on the montain. That's where I took my first runs about 6 seasons ago and started out using ski poles! My initial turns were cheated by using pole plants, kind of like dropping an anchor to make a turn. Day 2, we headed over to Buttermilk and was forunate to spend a few hours under the guidance of Cliff Ahumada.
