2. Adding volume is going to be a try and see what works plus the fact that I ride with the rear foot un-locked only contributes to the lift.
3. I suppose your right foot is your rear foot? I have the same problem. In my former 325's I wore a hole in the liner fabric of the heel cup. Now in my new Suzuka's, the entire liner (and foot) lifts up inside the shell. A friend placed some padding as show in the photo below to reduce the lift action. Another alternative I am going to try is to place a heel lift under my footbed to decrease volume.
4. Huge Avalanche Buries Cars in Colorado By Associated Press 2 hours ago DENVER - A huge avalanche buried cars Saturday and may have pushed others over the edge Saturday on U.S. 40 near 11,307-foot-high Berthoud Pass, Colorado highway officials said. "Our crews said it was the largest they have ever seen. It took three paths," said Stacey Stegman, spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Transportation. Seven people had been rescued and one was taken to a hospital, Stegman said. The slide buried at least two cars, state Patrolman Eric Wynn told CNN. Crews were probing the area for other vehicles, including any that may have gone off the road, Stegman said. The avalanche was described as 100 feet wide and 15 feet deep. The area usually has slides 2 to 3 feet deep, Stegman told CNN. "This is a tremendous amount of snow to come down the mountain for us," she said. Three snow storms in as many weeks have dumped more than 4 feet of snow on parts of Colorado. Berthoud Pass is the main route to Winter Park, one of Colorado's largest ski areas. Stegman said the late-morning timing meant most traffic headed to the ski area had already passed. "If it would've happened just a couple of hours earlier, this would've been a very different situation," she told CNN.

11. Jeff - Suggest you order up some Sportlegs before you head West. Take this day ONE, and each day you ride BEFORE the burn sets in. http://www.sportlegs.com/about/welcome.asp Can be ordered direct on line.

13. I rode for a few hours this a.m. (Dec 28th) at Pine Knob.
14. Jeff, I used to favor them both but . . . Brigthon is "the place" for all the local jibbers. Rememeber the nice wide open "carving" run in front of the lodge? Last I saw this hill was now one big terrain park. If you do go to Brighton, get someone to sponsor you so you can eat and drink at Molly Greens. Solitude - is or has become a destination resort. Lots of new base development. I'd say check out PC, Snowbasin and Powder Mtn. For us, we are pretty much hooked on Aspen as our #1 destination now that we are in on the Classic Pass program.
15. that was in Jan 2004 and I wrapped around it.
16. Do you have a PayPal account and what's your e-mail?
17. Apply some Gold Bond foot cream to your feet before putting on your socks. Make sure your boot are warm and dry before heading out. My toes get cold and the cream helps as do the Boot Gloves. May have to break down and get a pair of the new Hotronic heaters?

19. Mike, Planning info available on line from: www.rideutah.com www.visitsaltlake.com Best bet for least crowded would be Snowbasin (Sun Valley of the West), but try to hit this area on a bluebird day. Check with locals on Powder Mountain too. Both of these areas are "non-destination" resorts (no lodging).
