  1. Wow, new colors again... that takes a hell lot of R&D.....
  2. http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6380
  3. So which model is it, Pokkis?
  4. For prevention: http://www.levelusa.net/prod.php?k=58908&p=LVL1000UG http://www.levelusa.net/values/biomex.phtml
  5. Which model is that Pokkis? I'm also a Level fan using previous Super Pipe Pro models. And agree, the wrist velcro is a mess, but you don't necessarily have to cut 'em off. After adding a few layers of Sikaflex on the palm and also on the bottom of the part that covers the forearm, the collection of snow ceases. Also, the wrist velcro keeps the wrist guard in place and provides some further protection against wrist injuries. My $.02
  6. Well, a video would help, but basic drills are: - flex your knees, start the turn in a low body position - look where you want to go and - rotate your upper body in the same direction - stay centered on the board - do not do any sudden moves, try to flow with the board and follow it where it wants to go - apply a little push during the turn, so you'll have a more grippy feeling of the edge - gradually tilt the board, do not drop your hips immediately down to the ground when doing backsides as you'll end up losing edge. As you progress, it'll come and you'll be able to jump into a fully laid backside, but don't want to start with that If it washes out gently, then there was not enough pressure on the edge and the board was not tilted enough or weight was completely on your front foot. If it chatters then most probably the board was tilted enough, but body position was incorrect. But one look and advice from someone who can carve will help you much more then any forum advice... I think this is a great sequence from the Extremecarving guys, you can see rotation and push in an exaggerated manner, so it might be easier for you to visualize what you have to do. http://www.extremecarving.com/films/demos/wmv/backside1sm.wmv More here: http://www.extremecarving.com/movies/movies.html
  7. My expensive banker butt is already here in Zinal. Got here today. Alcohol is taken care of.... Huge respect to Starikashka who brought me a bottle of Russkiy Standart Platinum!!!
  8. Wow, that must have taken a serious amount of R&D to change the grey plastic to white and blue buckles to red... and also amazing job on the logo
  9. R U spying, Hans, or what? Do you by any chance have the specs of the new boards? Those 2 new Silberpfeils remind me of something.... not if I wanted to buy F2.... Cheers
  10. OMFG these people have serious issues and certainly need some counselling... This whole thing reminds me of 1984 by George Orwell.... speed control, mind control, brain wash...
  11. This is me explaining correct EC technique to my sister back in '76 in my 3 buckles..... (well, back then I was goofy...) she just had no clue 'bout it.....
  12. This is exactly how I feel and do but never been able to put it so simplistically and straight forward. Thanks Pokkis for enlightening me!!
  13. This should do: http://www.bomberonline.com/store/policies/TD2_inst.pdf
  14. I think you hit it right on the head. Not being able to maintain a constant speed and changing edge in line with the fall line is one single issue. If you carve (and don't skid) the only way to maintain a constant speed is to carefully select the direction where you change your edges. Should the slope be very steep, you might find yourself changing edges when you travel excactly 90 degress to the fall line across the slope, so you'll surprisingly carve on your downhill edge like on the pic of Erik.
  15. This has to be God. I know Frank and he looks kinda different....
  16. I think for the X-treme and Scalpel the more sophisticated models are called the 'Premium'. But do not ask me what is inside... only God and Frank knows... Both the Scalpel and the X-treme also exist in Titanal. I happen to have an X-treme Titanal and I think it is a great board for what it was designed. Soon I'll have the chance to compare it with the Premium edition.
  17. I have both. The orange Indy, and the white T700. Not much difference for me. The new alu buckles with the micro adjustment looked really tempting, but I have not noticed any significant difference in the performance. Those old plastic straps served the purpose well, too. Maybe one disadvantage of the buckles when you use the boot with BTS: the 2 buckles in the middle will touch if you bend the boot forward to the extreme. On the pic below you'll see that the 2nd buckle from the top really sticks out, hence the touch when bent. My $.02.
  18. Try Sikaflex 256 or Sikaflex Tack Drive. Apply a few layers. Works on gloves, pants, jackets. Lasts long. http://www.sika.com/cmi-aa-agr-prod-sf-256 http://www.sika.com/cmi-aa-agr-prod-st-drive
  19. Coming back to the subject now I really want to know how the story evolved. I mean the meeting with Keystone Resort people. This whole thing sounds so absurd and weird to me that it is hard for me to imagine how such a conversation could go. Maybe like this. [Fin] Dear Sir I'd like to file an appeal with regards to my getting a written warning on the mountain for speeding. [divine voice like Sean Connery] Son, you are lucky that you were not executed right on the spot. Death penalty for speeding is what you should have got. Appeal rejected. Case closed. Next one please. [Fin] But I have proof evidence.... a video! [divine voice like Sean Connery but mumbling] Oh my gush... an other hardbooter smartass... Look son, a ski industry veteran saw you coming down with the speed of light endangering all mankind... this is outrageous and has to be retaliated immediately. Guards! [Fin ]But I'm innocent, I'm innocent, I'm innn..... [guards come in and take him away in handcuffs] [divine voice like Sean Connery] The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. :AR15firin
  20. Wow BlueB, you seem to know our 2 most famous export products! I'm impressed!
  21. @tex1230: You're welcome anytime in Hungary. Just bring a few of those charming old fellas in yellow jackets...
  22. Well, I haven't realized I created such a linguistic phenomenon.... it has to be a result of x-mas and new years eve overdose of food, alcohol and other hallucinogenics
  23. I've been following this post since Fin started it. First I did not really feel I should chip in being from the other side of the planet and not really understanding this snow patrol thing.... but now that I saw this video I feel that I have to tell you that these snow patrol guys are so pathetic that I think if we had those kind of guys in these countries the only thing that would stop us from burying them under the snow would most probably be the fact that we would be whinningly wallow on the ground.....
  24. You made it based on an mpride shape? Nice! Does it also ride as an mpride?
  25. My understanding is that you want to have the better TD3 lever on your TD2, right? Then I think this is the piece that you need: http://www.bomberonline.com/store/bindings/parts_toe_clip.cfm Now one thing also confuses me, this piece comes up under the TD3 parts, but actually it is a TD2 toe clip.
