Gecko
Ok time to start something...Gloves or mittens??? I'm a mitten guy but when it's cold I wear a pair of silk glove liners under my mitts...Mittens have always lasted longer and required less repairs
Derf
10 year old Kevlar mitts from Ride, that I have nicknamed IndestructaMitts. Derf
philfell
Leather Smartwool spring gloves, unless it's real cold (for Utah standards thats under 20 f). Then I have a pair of Burton gloves that do the job. Keep you hands off the snow and you don't have to worry about fixing your gloves. Baka Dasai
I use these - they're great.
Jon Dahl
until the day I find an old pair of the Lowe Alpine Dr. Strangegloves! I use O R liners in my mitts, warm but awkward for doing anything other than pulling the binding release.
BBQ Chef
Mittens all the way!
kjl
Outdoor Research Mutant Modular Mitts: Warm as a mitten (actually, if you really need to have extra special warmth, you can pull your index finger out of the mitt finger and put it in the mitten part with the other fingers), with enough dexterity to deal with some simple tasks, like helmets and intec. Guest Biff
OR Mt Baker Mitts Used em for last 6 or so years. Wouldn't consider using anything else.

I just picked up a pair this season too, and am loving them. On warmer days I use a simple glove liner instead of the innner mitten that came with them. Either way, I've yet to experience cold or wet hands. I wind up taking off the outser shell for some things, but I can pull my intec cable and operatoe my FRS radio with them on, good enough! I also considered the lobster-claws that Ken has, but couldn't find them locally.
Guest stickmansurf
Lobster mitts rule! Kind of like the ones we wear surfing (before it starts snowing). I used to have a pair with fleece on the backside....great for wipin' snot and so on. Aloha, Stickman
