  1. Too much for the board, but you are right about never too much. It's about having the right tools to do the job.
  2. This might be blasphemous, but when there is too much powder, I break out the skis. One of my best days on the hills was last March 20th at Stratton skiing powder.
  3. I'm between 19 and 19.5 inches. I'm also 5'8" tall with a 30" inseam.
  4. I didn't go to Lab last year, going to try for it this year. I'm also checking prices for Aspen in April.
  5. I ordered it directly from Joerg. Go to the pure boarding site and send him an email!

    Weather

Tomorrow (12/4) is supposed to hit 60º here in my area! Not good. The weather channel just showed Jackson Hole and said that they have already gotten 96 inches this season. I might have to go out and play golf tomorrow. :(
  7. And after extensive conversations with Joerg, I actually went for the 163.
  8. I spent a day riding with Joerg at Stratton during the 2012 Stratton ECES and got hooked on his style. I'm definitely going to try to get to ride again with him when he comes to Labrador in NY and am looking at options for a trip to Aspen in April when he will be there. Board just got here today and now I'm praying for snow!
  9. I just ordered a Pure Boarding Bastard 168! My first new "new" board since 1998! Merry early Christmas to me. Pics will be posted in the appropriate thread once it gets here!
  10. I just bought my mid week pass to Windham for the upcoming season. I hope to see a few fellow riders out there this season!
  11. Thanks to everybody who made this event possible. My 2 days at Stratton were amazing and I can't wait for next year's event.
  12. Got back out @ Hunter Mountain (NY) last week. 4 runs down the easy hill and I was linking turns, but flailing. By the afternoon, I was back used to the speed and able to carve more and skid less. Probably going to head out again tomorrow! I forgot how much fun this is!!!
  13. Definitely considering it. I'll have to make a couple trips to the hill first. I have a hook up for free mid week passes at Hunter, don't really like the place, but the price is nice.
  14. I haven't been on any mountain for the last several (6) years. Thinking about heading back out again. The question is, do you think my boards are still good? Stored in my bedroom closet all this time. I have a 2002 Donek Freecarve 171, a Volant 162 SL, & a Volant 173 GS. All them will be needing a tune up. Also rocking some vintage (circa 1997) TD1s. Who hoo!

    Eces Q & A

I haven't ridden in 6 or 7 years, but think that I might have a go again this year. Time to dig out the old gear!
  16. Boots are Head Stratos, mondo size 24.0
  17. Pics will be sent either tonight or tomorrow
  18. Message me for pics, I have tons of them. Or, if you could tell me how, I will upload them from the computer to the thread
  19. Just like the title says, I have a ladies Burton Alp 51 and bindings for sale. The board was used once 5 years ago, also the bindings. I can get pics up if wanted. I also have the boots, they are for a size 8 ladies foot. More info on them soon.
  20. The bindings are set up for a size 24 boot right now. that means that they can be set up to fit a larger boot. I still would like to try and sell this as a set.
  21. Haven't been on the board since the 2004? 2005? eces @ Sugarloaf. I messed my right shoulder up pretty bad and kind of lost the desire to ride. Besides, when you can only get 6-10 days a year you kind of lose the groove. Before I moved from Lake Placid to open my restaurant, I was able to get between 100-110 days a year in at Whiteface. I actually haven't been on the snow since that day at Sugarloaf. Funny thing is, I still have all my gear, T.D.1s, my two Aggressions, one Donek, and even my first board, a '97 Rossignol throttle!
  22. they can fit a small boot. I will check tonight to see what size her boots are.
