st_lupo
So I casually mentioned that maybe I should look for a soft-conditions board for next year since it has been 5 years since I got my last board. I was expecting a melt down, but she wasn't so against the idea. I've kinda been drooling over the Virus Le Surf carbon/titan, as it kinda brings to mind the Alpinepunk board. Anybody got any experience with this board or Virus in general? https://shop.virus-snowsports.com/collections/snowboards-freeride-snowboards/products/virus-freeride-le-surf-pro-175-185cm-carbon-titan content://com.amazon.cloud9.FileProvider/images/screenshot/16416706371361013786763.jpg
bigwavedave
@Tddragon posted this in last year's new board porn. Not sure if he's still around as @*Ace* has been selling off his gear for him.
b.free
Have not tried Le surf yet, but as far as Virus, its one of the best boards builder company in the world. Phenomenal ride and construction. Beautiful and solid! Have tried a lot of their boards, only positive feedback! Best!
inkaholic
I agree with @b.free Frank knows how to build a board that functions as well as it looks. @D.T. Has the La Glisse I believe. He may be able to chime in about that swallowtail. ink
Ladia
I had La Glisse. Great board for powder, I did Aspen Higland bowl on it and it is pretty steep. Why I sold it? After my injury my ability are limited, so hopefully the board will make new owner happy and he can use make some serious use of it. I had so many Virus board and never was disappointed. I still have 3. One brand new I tried it on one run last spring, but it was “big” board for my condition, but my vision has improved after 2 surgeries, so I will give it another shot. If you have money and you ride big mountains go for it. And by the way La Glisse was good even on groomers , some powder boards are not. 3
st_lupo
Thanks for all of the feeback, I really appreciate it! It sounds like this board is just the thing to fill a niche spot in my quiver and might even sell off a board to keep everybody at home calm. I really hope to have something new to post in the 22/23 porn thread! @LadiaIt's good to hear that things are still improving with your vision, I wish the best for your continued recovery.
