barryj
Love this board......but it's not getting any love because I've become a Kessler snob! You've read all the D.O. 161 reviews http://forums.alpinesnowboarder.com/topic/46576-alloy-do-161-review/ it's all true Rides great, Carves better...softboots or hardboots! I doubt I got 5 days/maybe 10 hours on this board total......all last season! Loved the ride and was thinking the D.O. 161 would be my every day work board when my Swoard Dual II was down but Swoard replaced my Dual II within the week that I broke it. You know the drill - Paypay f&f only
slopestar
Last seasons? Or this seasons D.O. Either way, a great ride and a great price

slopestar
I rode two boards this season. Alloy DO and full bag diamond blade. Rode them both over two days at crystal mountain. The full bag the first day and the alloy on the second. The full bag was fantastic on the perfect groom but I topped out speed wise at about 42mph as the board would lose stability doing any faster. DO on day to was butter. Didn’t matter how fast or how hard I pushed... stable and nimble. Two totally different rides. Each has their place in my stable but the DO is an apex predator in my opinion. Don’t sell it... ride it! Or some one buy it and love it!

pow4ever
Barry: Did you try the 165 by any chance? Anyone want to chime in on 161 vs 165? Thanks in advance!
slopestar
I rode both. 165 was a little more locked in on the finish of the turn. It could finish the turn, it was up to you to hang on. I’m a bigger guy at 220lbs so... 165 was a no brainer for me Edited March 13, 2019 by slopestar
JRAZZ
Kinda went a little OT on this one but what the hell! I think the difference is in rider weight or aggressiveness. ^^^ weighs more than me and is a way better rider. More aggro to. I found the 161 more playful and easy to turn than the 165. I also weigh 180 so that's a factor too. I truly love hardboots. My alpine boards are just awesome but there's something so exciting about the DO that I always have to bring it out. The alpine boards are smooth, fast, damp while the DO is bouncy, quick, and fast! I think of it as a 911 to the Murcielago that is my Coiler Nirvana.
