lamby
Snows been piling up here, and it sure has been fun. Ran into someone on the chair today who recommended a weather web site taylored for our state (ID). What weather apps and web sites do you visit regularly? The one I just tapped into is Idaho Daily Snow Report

Eric Brammer aka PSR
NOAA weather maps. Best 'local' radar networks, allows you to get a 'look' from different bearings. https://radar.weather.gov/radar_lite.php?rid=cxx&product=NCR&loop=yes
lowrider
Yesterday was the warmest day on record for Southern Ontario worst season ever. After a summer drought i'm wondering if Ullar isn't fond of snowboarding?

I have 5 new (to me) boards including my first skwal that have not been touched. We have lost a crazy amount of snow in the last week after getting 50+ cm the week before. I'm trying to stay positive and frame it as a great reason to make a trip to the southern hemisphere this summer..
Eric Brammer aka PSR
I broke out the Longboard skateboard yesterday, first time I've gone 'outdoors' sk8ing in Feb., while living in New England. Global warming, it's a Liberal Mythos...
Zone
Just as we were about to get on the lift tonight, lightning hit (presumably one of the tower or transformer) and the lift shuts off with people on the chairs . A few tense minutes...

Global warming, it's a Liberal Mythos... While it certainly is warm, this is not unprecedented. February of 1954 is the warmest on record, followed by 1984 and 1999 (and now perhaps 2017). Our warm weather is not a global event, as there are many areas around the globe that have been cold and snowy. Chalk this weather up to Pacific warmth, the westerly quasi-biennial oscillation, and a host of other weather phenomena that have conspired to hose us in the east this year. With another El Niño coming, who knows what to expect next. This isn't denial or skepticism, simply a more plausible means of explaining this up and down winter.
