Dan Posted March 17, 2016 Report Share Posted March 17, 2016 I also got a killer deal on an alpine board on German Ebay, but I was going on a riding vacation in Europe. Don't think they would have shipped to the US. I think I was the only bidder on a mid-late zips Proton, and wound up paying something like 50 euros for the board and entry-level F2 bindings. I rode it for 5 days and sold it to the shop guys at the base of the hill when I was done. I started at 80 euros and let them talk me down to about 40. I kept the bindings, so things worked out pretty well . I think if you can figure out the German eBay interface that you won't have any problems communicating with sellers - they seem to speak English reasonably well. It can be cheap to buy from Europe, but it undercuts some of the same SKUs that Bomber is selling. I will agree that the Canadian Dollar is a bargain right now (hi new Coiler!) and the Euro, while not as close to par as it was in the fall is still good compared to most of the last 10 years.
