ZetaTre
Well... curiosity, since I just received a board with Hangl installed. They might be out of business or something: a couple website linked to them are www.hangl.ch and another one I can't find anymore... Something like sprint-tech.ch... bobdea
I don't think they had one that was of use to us. I know they made ski plates a long time ago Bola used to carry them, he'd have contact info.

www.oldsnowboards.com
Does anyone has a web address for the Hangl plates? Do you have a question about the plates? Perhaps this is the best place to ask it? What we have learned so far: There are a number of variations, I.E. they are NOT interchangeable. Parts are hard to come by. With the advent of newer plate systems, they are falling from favor rapidly. "Bridging" the lower plate system with a single upper plate works really well. lowrider
Probably part for some buggy whip conglomerate by now!
ZetaTre
Thanks guys!!! Again, no special reason why, just curiosity since I've bought a board with a Hangl plates on. A question I might have is about maintenance: would the part sliding be kept lubricate with some Bomber butter or other low temp grease? Thanks!!! www.oldsnowboards.com
A question I might have is about maintenance: would the part sliding be kept lubricate with some Bomber butter or other low temp grease? Thanks!!! It would not hurt anything, although I would vote "NO". Leave it as is, the slider is plastic and metal and grease would just attract dirt, dust and grime. Keep in mind, the travel and rotation is minimal. You would likely have to put in ALLOT of vert to wear them out. Ride and enjoy!! PS. Inspect for tightness and cracks or signs of fatigue. Just FYI not a warning.
lowrider
Parts of Hangl are lubricated by water from melting snow from friction of movement. Like snowmobile track sliders. As you ride you create the correct conditions for it's creation. Ride it hard but i encourage you to try any new plate if the opportunity presents itself. You will be very pleased with the difference between Hangl and a modern plate.
