A quick clip of a whitetail deer I saw while riding my bike today.I should have waited another second or two before clicking my brake levers to warn the deer as I would have gotten a closer shot.:-)

Whitetails are so cute. We often see them in Fish Creek, where they're so used to bikers they'll let you get within a couple of feet before they slowly move off. I chased one down switchbacks at Fernie this summer, he was most annoyed that I kept changing direction!

Last summer I was riding with a friend who started a moose right off the edge of the trail, and scared herself silly. Luckily it decided to run away through the trees instead of across her line, which could have been carnage. Like another friend who T-boned a bear at Whistler in June - to which patrol said "yeah, that happens every once in a while ..."!!!
