Last year I got my first day on November 14th, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen this year. I think my local hill is reporting 6 inches at the summit today. Saw 2 folks in hard boots, one with ski poles on a Burton asym? Couldn't see what the other guy was riding but the boots were white Deeluxe. May have been you?
