John H
That looks pretty neat. Looks like a good idea for the little ones. Now can they figure out a way of making bindings?
Puddy Tat
meh. I just have my kids lick the metal of the chair. Admittedly it is tougher to get them off at the top.

Sinecure
We're getting those magnet things on two chairs at Alpine Meadows this season. It will definitely be entertaining to watch the kids get stuck to the chair. It is only on the two beginner chairs for now. There's also an intermediate chair that could really use it, maybe next year? So this season we'll have GPS tags on the little kids legs, plus magnetic back protectors on them. Parents will be happy their little ones are being kept safe. First day of ski school is December 11. If I remember, I'll try to report back on how well the magnets work. queequeg
I think a heated chairlift would be irritating. I'm usually pretty warm by the time I get to the bottom of a run, and could use a cool down. Usually the lift ride up provides what I need to get my body temp back down to a reasonable level and once I'm at the top I'm ready to warm up a bit again. A heated chairlift would totally screw that up for me. I think the magnets are a smart idea.
dingbat
Magnets. Yeah, train 'em early to lean forward against the leash holding them back. I like the "sit on the spot" thing far better.

Gossamer
I know I won't ride one, just purchased a nifty new cassette walkman. Don't want my Movin like Berney tape ruined.
