Super!!! Allee, the dedicated technicians at the demo shed will gladly tune up a nice string of prayer flags for you - ready first thing in the morning! How do you like your bindings set up?

Due to the hard, fast conditions - we recommend the "Wind Horse" model, but we have "Medicine Buddha" in several lengths as well, if you prefer. :ices_ange

I demoed the Wind Horse pretty extensively down some gnarly Nepali hills a while back, so the Medicine Buddha it is ... "omi mani padme hum" ... with the bindings 15 and 15 duck, thanks!!

I think Rabbit won the snowball fight, grrrr...

Most excellent post, thanks!

I wish I was at your resort instead of Aspen... a bunch of guys are trying to figure out how to get to Squaw Valley instead

John, I hope this isn't totally true or that things are going to get better if so! I'm an hour away from Squaw but flying out to SES tomorrow...

Wow!! Well done young lady!!

Way to "Post Up" :biggthump

Who get the "Photog" credits??

Oldsnowboards, the event organizers hired a fine, local photography company - 10 Second Timer, LLC - to record the event in photos. They seem to miss most of the good on-hill action shots, but otherwise we are pleased with their work so far! :biggthump

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

That is an action packed schedule. All of that in only 12 hours! :biggthump

Good work! Looks a little crowded though! ;)

Well Buell, it's true that putting on a big event like this requires an incredible amount of time, energy and planning - and the event organizers are putting in unbelievably long hours this week keeping everything on track and fun for the participants. But when we see people arriving, meeting up, renewing old friendships and making new friends, and all the smiles, stoke and good will on the hill - it just warms our hearts. :1luvu: In fact, this is so fulfilling we are already working on ideas to make next year's event even better! :ices_ange

As for the crowds... we try, but we can't control everything!

Are those FIS racers part of the daily events or just kinda doing their own thing?

And is it required to have a different outfit for each day? Packing for next year is gonna be tough....

Unfortunately, SkES overlapped the Wild West Classic Elite FIS Race for two days - but those guys are gone now. However, the Women's US ski team is scheduled to begin pre Olympic training here today - so the two plank trenches may be even deeper. This is a busy hill for races - so it's hard to avoid other scheduled events altogether. We just ride around them! :D

Re: wardrobe... Seriously - you wouldn't think of riding in the same outfit twice, would you?!?! :smashfrea We do understand the baggage limitations for those flying in however - the key to having a fresh look each day is accessorizing! It is also fair to trade clothing and fashion items with other participants. I can reserve that lovely fuschia and black onepiece for you next year if you like! :eplus2:

And all this time I thought red jacket, black pants was a classic that you could wear every day for your entire lift :) I'll have to find a specialist in the gay arts and get some help for my attire for next year :)

Is it OK to say "gay arts"? As in interior decoration, food, and clothing?

By popular demand, we combined the Women's Clinic and the Longboard Clinic. This strategy was an amazing success, as 100% of registered participants attended! We think this shows a wonderful dedication to the development of the sport! :biggthump

We couldn't help but notice, however, that all of the attendees were women. Which got us to thinking.... what if we offered a Men's Only Clinic?!? Maybe if they were offered a safe, non-competitive learning environment (where they wouldn't have to wonder if the gal's boards are longer than theirs...) we could get more guys to attend the event?!? Let us know what you think for next year! :ices_ange

I know I saw pics of you with a pink jacket on.... that must be for the pink board day!!!

Kinpa, while it is true that the pink jacket would go well with the pink Donek slalom board, we consulted Fashion Cop and learned that it can also be paired with the black Prior long board for special occasions. Today seemed just right! :p

Speaking of fashion, when in the heck are stretch pants for women coming back in style? I remember how awesome it was as a young teen....now it's all baggy pants and it's really "meh, OK". Any fashionistas know?

As far as we know, stretch pants will come back in style for women at the same time as they come back for men - so guys: be warned! Get yer buns in shape!!!! Beer guts too! :lurk:
