Need a Graphic Designer

I'm getting a brand new metal coiler and I want a custom topsheet. All I can pay is $75 for your work since I'm going to be pretty poor after I get this board. Post or send me a message if you're interested in helping me out, and I'll send you an example of what I want done. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I need the final product to be done by the specs provided here.

The board will be around a 180-184, I think. I need to talk to Bruce about something new he has in mind. I'll get the final specs by hopefully wednesday.

Ivan Putski is a Polish wrestler, not Russian ;) I think my new board could go without pictures of half naked men, but good idea though =P Maybe if you got them in turtle necks and designer jeans...no still, it'd be a little tooo creepy.

Williamblake, I got your idea about the Burton Safari graphics, and I don't think Burton would be too cool with that. Although I think a board with a Camo patter would be cool too, but not what I'm looking for, for my first custom board.

Thats sick! but i think the bindings would cover up his face for the most part. That would be a sweet base but I don't think he is able to make custom bases, unless something has changed. Thanks for the pic though!

Here is what I've been sending to the people who have responded:

I need a creepy alice in wonderland theme. I was thinking of having a giant mushroom going the length of the board, with a caterpillar smoking a hookah on top of it with a bunch of the notable characters peeking out the sides of the mushroom. Also, I want to make sure Bruce gets credit for his board and somehow fit "Coiler" near the tail in big letters. I attached a quick sketch done by a friend but thinks she doesn't have the artistic ability to make it look nice on a snowboard. Let me know what you think.
Also, to that, I want to add that I think random cards should be flying around in the background, similar to the picture below the sketch.

anyone else have any other ideas to make it cool?

Also, I edited my first post to be more specific.

now that is a sick picture!!!!

Thanks willy and dingbat. If anyone could work something along this style, but maybe with a bit more vivid color, that would be cool. You don't have to, especially if you have your own style. Sorry I can't offer more money, but the holidays in combo with having a girlfriend really put me in the poor house...not the bar on Boylston.

Gleb:

What you need is an illustrator, not a graphic designer. You're asking for original artwork and the only way you'll get it done for $75 is to hire an art student who is looking to add to his/her portfolio.

If, once you have the art, you then you need the graphic designer to do the layout, background, and final output. That you might get for $75.

So I would start by asking around community colleges, art schools, high schools, etc.

WHy don't you just take a tab of acid before riding...You'll probably see all kinds of stuff like that...not that I know anything about such things :eplus2:

hey now watch what you are saying there are some days at loon in the late 80's when I might have done something but since I can't remember them

Skategoat and live love ride, I did actually mean an illustrator but I couldn't change the title. I figured that an if there are any illustrators interested on here, then they'd probably check out this thread.

I go to school across the street from an Art school, but all my friends there don't have time to do anything like this because they are spending every waking minute working on their thesis or other projects which are all super time consuming. My friend that drew up that simple sketch is an animator at that school.

So far, I've had a few people email me so far. For anyone that wants to contribute any ideas, i'll by ya a few beers if we ever meet up at SES or ECES :biggthump

Tex and Gecko, no thanks on the acid, although i know many many people that have and said as long as you know what your doing and know where you're getting it from, its a good time. Makes anything you're doing way more fun. A guy i used to work with told me he and a buddy took a tiny dose on a powder day and said it was the best day of skiing he's ever had in his life. He would see everything in slow motion and the snow flakes were super vivid. Sounds good but not for me.

Nice, organic mushrooms is all i need. Safest drug out there, and thats coming from some doctors that I know. Never while snowboarding though, at least for me.

:barf:

Kimo, if you have any ideas, throw them out here, I'll gladly take any input.

Willy, i love the Pour house for the cheap cheap nachos. Get stuffed and drunk for seriously under $25 a person. Always a good time there. I was there before the Sox parade this year. I'm loving that site. Its so good! That guy is good.

Thanks for everyone's input and help so far!

What's the name of that big party at Vail, in the woods ? I still have the t shirt somewhere. The BB&B !!!

100's of locals on various types of party favors. Do they still do it ? It literally turned Vail into alice in wonderland that day. Some very vivid memories of that day, snowing hard , people in costumes all over.

Tourons were kinda .....horrified:cool::eplus2::eek::eek::freak3::freak3::p:p:p:D:D:D

Alright, basically you start with the Disney style Alice since she's recognizeable, but you make her hot and dirty (still in a dress though) and dancing on a stripper pole at the top of the board. Then you get the Mad Hatter and Rabbit (looking like disgusting perverts e.g. tongues wagging) at the bottom of the board, like they're in the audience, with fist fulls of dollar bills (or maybe cards) that they're stuffing in her garter belt. I guess that's kinda creepy like you want, but it's definitely hot. I can see it, but I just can't draw it.

Willy, you sure that was an actual festival with 100s of people not just a personal one similar to what I saw 2 weekends ago before the pats game when I had nothing else to do? :p

Damn, those ideas are good! Hmmm...maybe have Alice using the mushroom as a pole? I want the mushroom to be the focal point because that was a reoccuring theme in the story.

Kimo, I think you have a future in the adult film industry.
