How about a compromise? You RIDE fakie but you TRICK switch? Here's the links for that definition. You will find that Transworld defines it as such. I know you all hate transworld and want to use "competition" sources, but I personally think competition if for jocks and football players myself, but here ya all go. http://www.adventuresportsonline.com/snowboardglossary.htm

I like this terminology site the best. Switch isn't even listed as it should be.

I have a simple philosophy that has served me well thus far.:biggthump

I am a big man 6'4" 280 Lbs I have no business being airborne and certainly not upside down or backwards.:D

that said the board goes two directions forward and rarely backwards. seems silly to muddle it up with skate language?:eplus2:

How about the whole "Fakie" conundrum just gets dropped and you concede to the notion of you being wrong, and we all just move on and be a big happy carving family :D

We ride switch, and can do Fakie tricks.

Dr.D..... Please say a small prayer for freshies in the morning.... rained like a monsoon in August over Cambodia here in NH last night :(

What about fakie when it's frontside, switch when it's backside. Unless it's blindside then the reverse is true.

Shoot! I forgot. That only applies if you ride goofy. That won't work for regular footed riders. Unless they are mongo. (push with their front foot instead of their back foot.) Don't say there are no mongo footed snowboarders I've seen them!!! Pushing up to the lift with their front foot unstrapped.

:D
