I have an unfortunately sad short notice reason to come down; for the memorial service on Monday,of long time friend and fellow bike racer Mike Janelle(I've been told Jeff's will be Dec 15).I have to drive and do this trip on a shoe string and would be arriving at Lovie to invest in the first day of my season on Sunday.Since I've done this trip a million times to visit family up here I can say give or take 15 minutes or so that I can be there ready to go by 8:30.Thanks. I enjoyed meeting several riders I had never met before... look forward to riding with everyone again soon! ... how many showed up? A dozen or so? I think I've only rode a couple of runs with Mark before, and I know Stan casually. I don't get to hang out with people who are mainly focussed on carving very often, other that the occasional run or two with an Alpiner. Just got in from the road.Lots of driving with nothing to do but think.At least the first day was all about fun with you guys.The next day was very sad as there was not a dry eye in the packed Vilar Center for Mike Jannelle's memorial.I lost another friend and another sport loses one it's greatest ambassadors.R.I.P.
