    wawa last ride

yesterday was as good as it gets, solid base with great edge hold, not too cold and no lift lines!!!! i am heading out again this morning, with the temps keeping the base firm the runs will be perfectly groomed and since nobody was there yesterday i would expect the same today. hope to see as many hardbooters as possible. see ya out there!!!!
  8. Was out there this morning and have to tell ya it was good. Also the first time I saw 4 hardbooters there at the same time. I want to put it out there to get as many riders together before the last day 4/6. The ideal is first chair midweek. For me next monday or thursday works. I know we have to follow the weather but so far so good the runs are holding very well.
  9. I have been up at wawa the past two mornings and the cover has been very good and empty. Looking to see if there are anybody out there that can make it for a morning before it ends. I was told today they are looking at 4/6 as their last day.
  10. are the boots still for sale?
  11. are the boots still for sale? what size is your foot? what are the issues that you could not work out?
  12. as the old saying goes better late than never..which opens the door to catching first pow of next season.... all i can say is the last 3 runs were the perfect way to end (for me) this season..i heard that the loaf is going to be open for the next two weekends so maybe its not my last we'll have to see. your right it is the most amazing condictions i have ever seen for spring riding that i can remember.. maybe next season you will see me on a coiler!! i hope you get to take advantage of the next few weekends at the loaf, i will post if i am going to make it..the temptation is there. great to meet you and look forward to laying down some carves..
  13. heading up to the loaf later today to catch tomorrow and sat maybe sunday. let me know if you can make it i will connect for some epic riding.. hope to see ya there!!!
  14. anyone want to play hookee and go play???? I am thinking Tuesday 17th
  15. here is something to think about (my 2 cents worth) I have an 05 subaru legecy gt-with a 2.5 turbo all wheel drive-it has 250 hp with 250 lbs torque it has all the performance stuff a car should have oversize brakes and much more. for the money, performance, dependability (people will hate this) a BMW can't touch it..now a beemer is great but for the money it better be as with the sub you get a ton for the money + it looks like a sleeper.. test drive one and drive it hard than get back to me. one of the reasons i got one is a buddy races his and beats the piss out of it and with 130k on it, it rides as if he just bought it-he has had do do no major repairs other than maintance but all in all nothing has failed. the boxer engine is tough. so if your looking for a performance car that you can throw the board in the back go with the wagon (another good reason) plus now when you pull next to a beemer (318 or 325) you can wave in your rear view mirror as you pull away.. (i know i will hear about that line)..
  16. what about fly fishing or fishing for stripers "sea bass" for you non salt water fishing folks, down at Monomoy, "its at chatham on the cape". If you love to fly fish or just fish and have not done this, its a must do for you (just made that up-i like it).. this is the closest to fishing heaven in NE that i have done. For $15 a boat service will take you to Monomoy "south beach" where you can site fish on the flats for miles as well as just hang. You go out early and they will pick you up anytime you want. I have to look to see when the action starts "i think the schoolies start in late april early may-that means non keepers under 32" the average is 18' to 22" a ton of fun on a fly rod" later in the season you can catch 32+" need i say more.. my other passion is rock climbing.. if your game. in the local area there are a few great area's -I have extra gear- "college rock" in Hopkinton and "Quincy Quarries". the other thought is to try one of the climbing gyms in the area "Boston rock gym" and "the metro-the better of the two" for those who would like to try and give it a go than out side for the first time "inside is the much better idea for first timers" throw in a keg and a bbq and life is good!!! I think a gathering of hard booters is a great idea.. hey my daughter just called to tell me its snowing in Farmington, ME. seasons not over just yet...we got to hit the loaf within the next few weekends-i bet we can get a condo for a night cheap i think my daughter since she worked there can get an additional 30% off as well so if there is any interest let me know and I will help put something together. that's it for my 2 cents...
  17. that is a tough speeding ticket.. and with you wife in the car-i know how the rest of my car ride would have been if it was me..need i say more climbing-yea right after i lose my winter weight... i hope to get up north one more time if time and condictions permit, I will let you know if and where.. does race season start now?

    wawa-ride

they sucked but i just got back 12.30 i went there this morning and it was great. they groomed it and with the cold temps it is holding up great-if it wasn't for an on line training class i would still be there. and i think tomorrow will be as good as today. i have another conf call tomorrow in the morning and if i can get enough done this afternoon i think i will go up right after my call. if your going tonight it should be very good for this time of year. have fun

    Madd 158

thaks for the get back. i have a RT 163 SL vokel-which for an all round boad out east is serving me well. i am about 200 and i am leaning to a stiff to med flex (i hope the stiff isn't more than i asked for) but going to med to soft i would guess not a lot of bang compared to my RT (I could be wrong) so unless i hear something to change my thinking i have to pass for now. thanks again for the get back..
