  1. wow my bad Must be all the booze you hear those college kids drinkin these days.
  2. the speed board is a rentiger 219 that sold on ebay for $3,000 i think because it was autographed too. I wish there was a video online. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing anything near 60 on a board, only on skis for now. here is the post
  3. Glenn, im interested in race training just because its one way that I can really push my riding and I think it would be a great chance to ride with people that rip.
  4. glad you made it out there in one piece. You'll be missed. I think any snow would be better than what we have in most places out here. I just discovered that the 10th mtn trail at wachusett (the mogul run) is incredibly wide and perfect for carving without the moguls. Wish they had it open when you were here. Have fun and carve it up.
  5. wish i could make it because I'd be there in a heart beat. I'm waiting for my car to get fixed up (smells like burning rubber after 20 min of driving) so i'm out. I'll be at pats peak with this group i volunteer with so this weekend isn't a complete waste. Good luck and I hope this isn the first of many events there.
  6. Riding with other carvers is the best. Totally unbeatable. I think its comparable to flying jets side by side sometimes. Plus, its how I learn and how I'm able to push myself. I was out the other day with a Teleboard and he ripped. I wanna get one next season. He was doing pretty much fully laid out extreme carves. To the local guys out here, take a trip to wachusett now and you wont be disappointed. The usual mogul trail is perfect for carving since it has no moguls on it and is super wide. I couldn't believe a trail like that was right in my backyard.
  7. Unfortunatly it turns out I need this board to teach kids how to ride because its the closest thing to a soft boot board that I have. I'm sure you'd be able to find one of these somewhere, they're pretty common and its overall a kick ass board. good luck
  8. This past weekend i was given the oppurtunity to get free lessons to teach kids how to ride. Thankfully, the instructors we had didn't like the park too much and just loved to carve. This was at pats peak and our first intructor was Papa Joe who rides 35/-35 duck (looks painful) and rips. On the 2nd day, we had papa Joe and Rueben. Rueben's daughter races on an alpine set up at loon. He is a crazy carver and does extreme carves on toesdie on the blues at low speeds with ease. He uses a softboot setup and has yet to try hardboots. Using my mad, i was able to get almost as low as him and I think this weekend brought my carving to a another level. I tried riding switch many times but heelside turns were not too successful but I'm going to keep working. I also learned how to ollie which works incredibly well with the pop of the mad. Its amazing how much you could learn from an instructor even though you're in different set ups.
  9. Let me know when you guys are going to be up at one of the threedom mountains. I can make it any day except tuesday and thursday. I was at waterville dialing in my Madd and all of the sudden an enormous mobb (15-20) little ones just hit the slope at the same time when school got out... Good thing they all ended up at the little park on the side of the mtn. Anywho, hit me up!
  10. icy...lol. I hope to make it out there soon to see these "icy" conditions. Get well man, and kick some ass!
  11. I'm sure even with 0 degree bevels it could tear anything apart, but having it that sharp sure helps too.
  12. my madd came with a ptc that has 2 on the base and i'm not sure bout the sides. its sharp enough to cut my thumb and I'm able to carve in skating type conditions, just as long as its not too steep cuz then my heelside is trash.
  13. damn that arbor looks slick. No way would i be able to afford it now. Maybe next year when i sell off a few of mine.
  14. omg this would be a dream come true! I'm hoping for enough snow to make us choke.
  15. I used my Madd with angles in the low 40s the other day my feet havent felt more comfortable in years. I took out the insoles I got to mold into my boot and it felt great. As for shaving my shins, no need. My shin is almost healed and actually no hair in sight. Rest of my foot seems fine. The 11 hour day was maybe my second day which is good. It forced me to think about my liners early on so the rest of the season will be in total comfort. My thermo liners are finally starting to feel more comfortable than sneakers. The booster straps worked wonders! Highly recommend them for anyone, even if you don't experience shin bang. When I cranked them up, it really let me drive the board into the ice.

you read my mind...or saw me through my window. Whatever, im too tired and too psyced to care right now.
  19. I'll give narrowing my stance a shot. Do you mean making angles more extreme (over 60 degrees) or moving my feet closer together? Carve with one foot?!
