  1. My sole blocks are not anodized and don't have stickers. Other than that I don't think that there was any changes made before they went into production.
  2. I have a pair of TD3 Sidewinder prototype bindings that I would like to sell. I want to sell everything as one package so I will not be parting out anything right now. I have used them for 3 race seasons and 3 coaching seasons. E-Rings - two yellow (soft) and two blue (Medium) E-Pads - full set of Blue (medium installed) and 16 spare Blue e-pads Cants - one 0, two 3 and one 6 Center disks are 4 bolt pattern only Two spare heal bail's Reason for selling. I don't race anymore, moved into coaching and don't need something this intense/heavy. I have been out of the game for some time so I don't know how much it is worth and I haven't see any for sale so I am putting $400 plus shipping OBO on it. They are located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada so shipping will probably be needed. Email kristin @ snowboard nova scotia . ca
  3. I have a pair of sidewinder prototypes that I would be willing to sell. PM me for a price.
  4. I have/do de-tune my kesslers. My reason was for racing, it allowed me to do the drift and lock or the slarve what ever you want to call it. My way of de-tuning is to take a gummy stone and make 3 passes on the edge, where you start is personal preference, I did my nose from in between the 2 s' up and 2.5 inch's from the tail. The board is still sharp there its just looses the grabbyness
  5. only one post form this guy, im going to say april fools, i hope im wrong tho
  6. That plate is a Custom designed plate designed by the rider Mike Trapp aka Mtrappy on here
  7. Trappy won the Mens PGS and Mimi got 2nd http://www.fis-ski.com/uk/604/610.html?sector=SB&raceid=8715 http://www.fis-ski.com/uk/604/610.html?sector=SB&raceid=8714
  8. Each sole block has 2 pads, one on each side of the pin, 2X4=8. I weigh 155lbs, I am a very aggressive racer and the way I have mine setup is blue under the blocks and yellow erings. I have tried blue and blue but didnt get the flex I wanted and yellow and yellow I found it was too much. hope that helps your decision
  9. The benefit over the normal td3 is the extra lateral flex that the toe and heal blocks give. Most of the world cup riders are using F2's because the plastic flex's giving them extra lateral flex, some riders even go as far as having the bindings dangerously loose to get even more lateral flex out of these f2's. The sidewinders do what the f2's do with out sacrificing safety.
  10. I used these all last season, they are amazing in every condition once you dial them in to how you ride. They are by far the most versitile binding out there because you can make them amazingly soft for a -100lbs person and stiffen them up for a person +250lbs. As for the height, I believe that fin has said that they are not much taller then the td'2 and f2's. The step in issue is that a whole new top receiver would need to be made, you couldn't/wouldn't want to bolt a step in platform onto the top receiver because you would hinder the movement of the binding. The step in receiver would need to be made out of steal as well because the fin tec would destroy a aluminum receiver thats just my 2 cents, hopefully fin has more answers for you guys at some point
  11. The board does not have standard inserts, it was discussed in his thread in the spring

Sent on behalf of the Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC)<o></o> For immediate release<o> </o>February 15, 2009 <o></o> VANOC wraps up operational testing at Cypress Mountain Snowboard sport event; today’s Feb. 15 PGS snowboard event cancelled due to soft snow conditions<o> </o>Vancouver, BC – Yesterday, the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) completed day three of its field of play testing at World Cup snowboard competition at Cypress Mountain. Despite successful snowboard cross and half-pipe competitions over the past two days, the local organizing committee together with the Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) has cancelled today’s (Sunday, February 15th) event -- the men’s and ladies’ Parallel Giant Slalom (PGS) -- due to unsuitable competition terrain resulting from a combination of factors including mild weather and limited time to prepare the course both in advance of the event and in between the last two events. Spectators with $10 tickets for today's event can return to the West Vancouver Aquatic Center for a full refund. “We're pleased to have been able to stage three highly successful days of full competition, and feedback from all participants on the field of play has been positive." said Tim Gayda, VANOC vice president, sport. "Our hill prep crews have been working 24/7 to ensure a successful week of training and competition -- our hats are off to them for an outstanding job. Cancelling the PGS is due to a few factors, including that we had limited time in advance of the event to prepare the terrain, and a shorter conversion time than at Games-time to alter the terrain from snowboard cross to PGS. This, combined with mild weather has resulted in a field of play with snow that is simply too soft to sustain a World Cup PGS competition today. This will not happen next year for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games as we’ll be on the mountain much sooner with significantly more time to prepare the competition hills and we will have twice as much time between these two events to convert the course. On behalf of everyone who worked on this event, we share the disapointment of the athletes who were ready to showcase their sport and the spectators who were looking forward to attending."<o> </o>"Vancouver has been a spectacular host to the snowboard athletes for the past several days and we are fully satisfied with this venue for the 2010 Winter Games." said Marcel Looze, snowboard race director with FIS. "While it's always disappointing to cancel an event, it’s the right decision in these unique circumstances and we look forward to seeing everyone at the PGS snowboard competition at Cypress Mountain in 2010." What i got from some of my coaches was that the snow was just destroyed, what i mean by that is there was no moisture in it, it was just sugar, had it rained or even snowed in the last few days they could have done it.

CANCLED due to conditions The border cross was setup on the race hill, it got taken down friday night, they tried to let it setup today but when teams were allowed to free ride the hill they felt that it was unsafe and teams were tired of running on corses that were not ideal

Norquay) and they didn't want to go to Europe and get used to the time zone then go to Korea and have to adjust again. But like i said thats what i heard
