  1. I had a 164 FP with the same problem. A LOT of Burtons have concave base. The problem is, base flat, both edges are in contact. Base flat neither of them should be in contact. Real easy to catch the WRONG edge.
  2. Picked this up from dragonrider years ago. Mounted it and never rode it. (Not a powder guy) I would say this thing is damn near museum quality. VERY clean. Now $225 plus shipping
  3. T 175-CL-011-SEJ1-6.5+6 Bruce built this for me in 2011. Built for 160 - 170#s, 11.5M SCR. Probably have around 40 days on it. Ground once. Price drop $350 shipped lower 48
  4. Oh Jeez Mario, Gretchen would kill me! The UFC went to somebody else.
  5. Let me explain a little more. LambertoMI said interested, I said SOLD. Not trying to cut in line here. Just saying I'm not on the fence, I want it.
  6. Oh Jeez, I really shouldn't! But, rider weight, waist, and SCR would be really useful.
  7. I picked up some RC10s from Thor. They have the older SWEET Raichle liners in them. He said this is one shell that is safe to ride in walk mode, but I should verify. Said that's the way he rode most the time. For those of you who don't know him, he's a VERY powerful rider. Any input about the safety of this?
  8. I always etch my drivers licence # into my sidewalls. Hard to argue that.
  9. When the clearcoat goes to hell, you can sand it off and polish the whole thing
  10. Had the same thing happen at Northstar with a brand new Nidecker. Their racks suck.. Damn near had one fall out of a bus rack once. I always carry them in. Years ago, 1st time on my BRAND new Burton Asym alp. In the lift line a 5 year old kid planted his pole on the front of my topsheet and pushed himself forward. SCRAAAAAPE! Big nasty 8" scar, across the grain in the wood topsheet. I could see splinters. Worst topsheet damage I've ever had to this day, and I hadn't even ridden it yet! Felt like throttling him, but what you gonna do? Just a kid, wasn't on purpose. Just glad the pole didn't end up in my shin.
  11. No issues with the carbon. Part of it polished up better than the rest. Last step will be automotive wax. I think that will make the carbon consistent.
  12. The nose graphics showed up. Not perfect, but I think you would have to have it side by side with the original to tell. Now I just need the rest. (Flames need to go on first.)
  13. Corey, took the clear coat off with dry orbital sander at 220. Wet sanded by hand. All the rubbing out and polsihing was with a random orbit polisher. I've got one that's a real power tool (7 amps). Not the 1 amp junk everybody sells.
  14. Had a little more time to play with this. Couple of passes with aluminium polish and I could shave with this thing. Love the reflection of the boards in the ceiling rack. Now I just need the graphics to show up.
  15. Thanks Sailman, all good info. The board in the link looks like Dan's. Mine had different graphics. Gonna mix it up a little and add red flames. Somehow I need to recreate Franks handwriting, or a small decal saying made by Virus Corey, just bought the decals and there's more polishing to do. Just haven't had time. I WILL post any further improvements. Stay tuned!
  16. I think I'm gonna red flame it after the polishing is done, then put the alpinepunk stuff on top.
  17. This thing rides too nice to leave it hanging on a wall.
  18. Well, after about an hour with rubbing compound I got this far. Can't wait to see what polish will do!
  19. Unfortunately, the graphics are airbrushed on. I was able to get close with the nose graphics through an online vinyl letter place. It was a pain getting the arch right. We'll see how it fits. Dan has one with different graphics, says afterburner on the tail. I'll probably add that as well. Maybe some flames, give it a little color. I'd LOVE to get my hands on the older graphics the glass ones had. The girl riding one between her legs. THAT would be cool.
  20. Automotive rubbing compound seems to be doing well, and I've got a killer buffer so it's easy.
