  1. ]With the clear coat gone, this think looks mint! (Except for the lack of graphics) Next I wet sanded to 600. Let the polishing begin!
  2. So, the next step was to sand of the clear coat. I used 220 and it only took 10 minutes or so.
  3. After demounting and pulling off the slippery piece of rubber, I ended up with this:
  4. First thing was to repair the topsheet delam at the tail. The tear was only 1/2" long. Glued it back up with west systems Gflex epoxy.
  5. Got this from my buddy Thor. TONs of life left in it, but cosmetically, rode hard and put away wet. Actually most the topsheet damage was done by the plastic isolation plates he installed when he mounted it up. (Common back in 08 for metal topsheets)

I checked on shipping to NH and it was $ 62 (I'm on the west coast) I wouldn't think Maine would be much more. If REAL interested I can get actual cost.

Sorry for sounding lame. It's been a few years since I posted. How do I edit my post? How do I delete it when done?
  9. Fringnut, thanks for the delivery confirmation. Enjoy! Great stuff, but, I've become addicted to sidewinders.
  10. 184, 15.4 SCR, 18.4 waist. Built for a racer named John Shelly back around 2000, Picked this up from Dave Teteak around 06 or 07. This thing is a screamer! My "GO TO" adrenaline board till I got the Virus from Shred. Talked to Chris Prior in 09 and he remembered the racer and the board. He said "I think I put some metal in that. You can't see it in the side wall, but if you can see a strip about this wide (holding his fingers about 2 inches apart) transferring through the topsheet, it's got metal in it. There is a strip of something running down both edges, clearly seen transferring through the topsheet, so I'm pretty sure it's got some metal in it. That might explain why it rides so great. This thing was waaaay over my ability level when I got it. (I was riding a 164 FP!) But it was just so fun I rode it anyways ,and survived, and got better! At 165, STIFF for me, but ridable, just gotta HAUL ass. Topsheet in pretty good shape for it's age. Base has one small ding not worth worrying about. Haven;t ridden it for a couple years, so the edges could use a polish. 1 degree base, 2 degrees side wall. $ 150 plus shipping
  11. Hey queequeg, did the sales go through? Want a pair if one didn't. Scott
  12. SES was warm, but the snow held up well.
  13. I've replaced broken rivits with a tee nut, machine screw, and washer. I think it's actually stronger than the rivit. Just be sure to use locktite on the thread. There's a post somewhere about this.

  15. I'll take a set if a deal falls through
  16. I would just send you a pair of the old ones, but I have no idea what shipping to Italy would cost. Probably better off buying heal receivers local. Don't think they're that expensive

Thanks for the input pokkis. Is it actually labeled somewhere? Big Canuck, Hasco? Can you shed some light? Just know the topsheet is different than any other burner I've seen?

I remember Mark bringing 2 to SES. One fairly soft, the other world cup stiff. This one is on the stiff side. I mean, crap! Just look how thick the sidewall is.
