    Yo Lci!!

You'all missed a GREAT powder day today. Typical Lovey day... Gale force winds at the top of any of the chairs, occasional white-out conditions.... But DEEP. On ridge tops it was sketchy at best but as soon as you dropped below it was heaven. The Duret Monster Fat ruled today !!! Don Feed the addiction...
  2. I was looking forward to this BUT ALAS I'll be in Europe. Party on Garth !!! Don Feed the addiction...
  3. Jakes answer to all of this http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/article/20081130/OPINION/311300002
  4. most googles have an anti-fog coating on the inside of the lens. DON'T try to use anything on the google lens. The glasses are what is fogging anyway. I've used Cat Crap before with good results. Now I use a Smith anti-fog cloth. You breath a "fog" onto each lens and wipe clean with the cloth. I use OTG googles. If you ride hard and breath hard fogging will happen, no anti-fog treatment will work. Also NEVER let your lenses get cold. Put googles on before getting out in the cold. As mentioned above the fan googles work well, but $$$$$. Lifting them slightly while moving will clear them. If you don't need googles don't wear them. I only use them for bad weather. If you get tears you will get used to it and the tears will stop happening. Don Feed the addiction...
  5. What about those who can't decide what to ride ? Don Feed the addiction...
  6. I rode the MLY today without my beloved ski poles. NO crashes... HUH ? Actually it went much better than I expected. (I don't think this is a good beginner board). Other than the occasional windmilling arms I made some decent turns. I made 5 or 6 runs down Mombo, but the powder was calling and I switched over to the new pow Mono and joined Arne on #4. Fantastic conditions. Couldn't stay for the opening of #8 DAMN. Don Feed the addiction... And the MLY is mounted PROPERLY with the OS2 Catecs @ 65* F & 60* R
  7. I'm giving up my poles for a day. I now own a 183 MLY w/ Catec OS2's. so if you want good laugh, join me tomorrow, (Thurs). Don Feed the addiction...
  8. Well I didn't have to work on anything BUT MY TURNS today. GOOD STUFF. Ran into Accidental for a few runs. My new Duret Monstre Fat Monoboard rocks the pow AND carves DEEP Don Feed the addiction...
  9. Was up 1st thing today at Loveland. WOW. I was rining my new pow mono. Shaped simular to the Dupraz. I was getting face shots all morning. Plus nothing else on the fresh could keep up. FAT AND WIDE is where it's at for the deep. Typical Lovey day... near whiteout, wind howling, ass bitin' cold, locals know the drill. Opened several more runs too. Don Feed the addiction...
  10. I have some model year '99 Burton Wind's for sale. They're near new with almost no wear, even on the soles. The shell is 27.5-29 with stock 27.5 liners. They're Intec compatable, they're 4 buckle with micro adjust buckles, have 3 forward locking lean positions, (15*, 20*, 25*), walk/powder mode, adjustable rear springs, cant adjustment, and power straps. Plus cool red white and blue retro colors. I'm asking $125 shipped PM me for pics Don Feed the adddiction...
  11. Hey Steve, One thing you can do to help offset altitude effects is take asprin. The premise is that one's blood thickens with the altitude, less blood flow to the brain creating headaches and other symptoms of altitude sickness. Asprin thins your blood, promoting better, (normal), blood flow. Drinking water does nothing to offset altitude sickness, but you need more hydration at altitude that's why people say to drink lots of water. Hope to ride with you while you're here. 12. Been out of town for the last week. Need my fix.... Monodude Feed the addiction...
  13. I intend to be there Sun. I have a 600 mile ride to do on Sat so barring any problems I'll be there. There should be a few of the Monoski crowd there also. Don Feed the addiction...

  15. 12" and counting last three days. Got warm yesterday tho. if the groomers do their job it should be great. Don Feed the addiction...
  16. I went up today and with 8+" in the last two days the groom was fantastic for the carve. Firm, some scraped, but no ice. After several runs I'm getting to the top of the lower chair when I see a run that is nothing but trenches ???? OOOHHH AAAHHH someone to play with... Turns out a group of 12, I think, from Steamboat were race training this week and next. All were really good riders. I counted 7 Kessler's, WOW, in one place. Several were trying out Dabello ski boots also. Interesting... Of course I had to step-up my game. I was riding the Volkl Monocarver again today. I'm not as afraid of it anymore. Damn that board is fast. I'm getting used to the 14.5 radius and I'm loving it. (3RD Day on it). I'll be ready for you Colorado guys next season. Maybe even SES ???? Do they allow freaks ??? On another note a BIG THANKS to all the Co guys for tolerating the MonoDude, And for helping me learn the true meaning of "Trench Digging" YEAH ! Don Feed the addiction...
  17. Bummer Stan. Hope all turns out well. I'll be closing Breck on the 20TH. I hope to get a day or two with you guys before Lovey closes. Ride hard.. Don Feed the addiction...
  18. Hey guys, I went to Breck w/ Accidental and his two friends from Indiana. 3" of sweet cream on top of the groomed. 1st 6 or 7 runs were great. Carving conditions were about the same as you guys had. Rode the Yama for the first time in a month. Sweet ride. I'll be closing Copper and Vail next sat /sun. Poss. family the following weekend Don Feed the addiction...
  19. Not quite Hero groom, but I think we all wrecked the place. Mario, Ink, PC, You guys ride HARD. Watching you guys has helped me up my game alot. Accidental, You bravely rode a HUGE powder powder board. I'm glad that between us all giving you advice, (Good? or Bad?), you listened and stepped up. Keep ridin' with the Lovey crew and you'll be slaying it in no time. Don Feed the addiction...
  20. You guys are all too kind. I really enjoy ridin' with The Lovey Crew. Ya'll ride at a high level, and it helps me to see how other people carve. As most of you believe...It's all about the carve, nothing else exists. Don Feed the addiction...
  21. When asked about the damage he had left on his new conveyence, Monodude replied " It was fun, I can't wait to do it again." I believe my comment was " Damn, we wrecked the place...Cool" The Skwal is a blast to ride. All of the video I've seen no body uses poles. maybe a true "skwaller" thinks that's not right. I don't really care. The proof is in the trench I leave Don Feed the addiction...
  22. Hey Accidental, If you want I'll take you. I doubt I'll stay much past 1:00. 6:15 @ T-Rex Park & Ride. i can take 2 more if anyone wants a ride. Don Feed the addiction...
