    2 weeks in Colorado

Sorry I missed your call. I've been down and out since Sunday - caught the cold my kids have been suffering with. Ruined my last week here I'll be out next year  Bill
  2. Ending my extended stay here with illness Barely made it thru Sunday at LCS and in bed the rest of this week - sorry I missed Breck on Wed and BC today. Unfortunate ending to a great month! I enjoyed meeting /riding with everyone - Arne, Mario, Ink, TVR, Kimo, and all the rest I already bought my Epic pass for next year - though my wife says not as long a stay - must squeeze SES in there. I look forward to next year. If anyone needs to visit Cheese-Land I'd be happy to return the hospitality:D 'Til Next Year
  3. I'm staying at Keystone - The Springs, right next to the gondola. I could join the crowd at the 'Basin too if you'll tolerate the flat-lander wheezing along. My cell is listed above or I'll check this in the am. Bill
  4. I'm stayin' here - near the base of the gondola. I could get away for the morning. Post here or give my cell a call - 715.581.7671 - if you come. Bill

    2 weeks in Colorado

I'm at Keystone for next two weeks. Dividing time with family and friends, but, I can always sneak away for some turns. May try Breck at some point too. Try my cell 715-581-7671. Or I'll see ya at LCS, Bill
  6. Great meeting the LCI crew the other day. Mario - sorry I missed you at A-Basin - Recovering from a tumble the other day - I should be back in prime form (for what that's worth) by the 8th!!!

    WTB 192 Tanker

I have a 200 that is like new - only 3 days on it! We can discuss price if your interested. Bill
  8. Is that a Zlin in your pic?? Jen, Good eye. No, its an Extra 300L. My other passion is flying - especially aerobatics. I don't have the Extra anymore; building a Giles 202. I'll change the avitar when the new bird is more presentable.
  9. Yeah, I met friends at BC the other day and will meet others in Vail next weekend. Stayin in Keystone was cheaper and I have to say I like it! But then, coming from the midwest (I still can't breath here) I just happy to be in the mountains.
  10. I'm sitting in a condo at Keystone now! Bill
  11. Angie, Thanks, I'd planned to visit Breck! Let me know - I'm here with my family but I can certainly sneek away. Bill
  12. Mario, I'm visiting for a couple weeks. If you'll tolerate an interloper I'd enjoy some turns with the local crew. Outside of spending family time, I'm open all week - stayin at Keystone. Bill
  13. Ink, I'm lookin thru the posts now. I'll try and join you if this flatlander won't cramp your style??? Bill
  14. I'll be in Keystone for the next couple of weeks. It'd be great to do some turns with some of the local pros. I have the epic pass so Vail, BC, Breck ....... are possibility too.
  15. I love my Monster. Super confident edge. Chews up end of the day bumps and soft snow. Turns big or small. I tend to turn hard to check my speed - often riding with the family. The monster loves steep blues. My current favorite!!!!!! Bruce is FANTASTIC to work with!!!! He will build what you need. Very honest - he discounted another board I bought because there was some flaw in the topsheet (I still can't find it - he offered to build a new one) With CDN$ you may be close depending on exchange. It is worth the money. I've spent far more on other boards that aren't nearly as well made or as much fun.
  16. Just had Mike tune my Coilers --- BIG difference!! Not cheap but worth it IMO.
  17. Tim I have the day off! See you tomorrow am. Bill
  18. Tim I'll do my best to skip-out Fri....otherwise I'll be there late afternoon. Gray/white jacket with black helmet and pants riding a Coiler. Bill
  19. Didn't know the 178 was so rare - I have one too - 188 and 197 as well. Love the split tails. Added an AlpinePunk Metal Burner this year. This has many of the attributes of the Burners along with the damp metal ride. Haven't had it out enough this year to pass judgment, but initial impression is very good I should have acted more quickly, the short burner would have been great on my local hill.
  20. I couldn't get my kid's bike sold in time
  21. What was that first step I DON'T have a problem .......Really!!! DrD: You are an enabler you know:eplus2:
  22. Please forward the info - may be a nice addition to my burner collection.
  23. I found the T700s to be much less stiff than some others - recently sold my UPZ10 and T325's. Had an early set of Head hard boots, can't remember the model. All these mentioned felt stiffer to me. Of course the T700 has a different shell design and the shell is taller offering more shin support- Jack you may be able to elaborate more. I find the T700's with BTS to be about perfect - soft initial flex but very progressive and tweakable w/BTS installed. Great Boots!!
  24. Tim, As mentioned a few times here, I live on Granite Peak. Thought many times about such an event. I never see hardboots...... Well, maybe once or twice in three years. Not sure there is enough interest??? Tell me when your group is coming and I'll do my best to join you. All welcome at my home for drinks after:biggthump Bill
  25. I've had similar problems.......the 700's are a little tighter in the shin. I also added a booster strap - not to add stiffness but to secure them to my calf completely - it is the movement/friction that gave me pain. The 700's have a slightly taller shell. This combined to give me a boot that feels softer - adjustable w/BTS - and very secure.....most important comfortable. You may try Tognar Toolworks (tognar.com) they have a selection of pads that can be added to custom fit boots. May find something that helps. Or, try molding the liners too. I find that I have as good a result just letting them "pack-in" with time. Again, works for me - others may offer additional advice but its all worth what your paying for it. Experimenting yourself has given my best results.
