I only have a couple of days on my 188 Burner, but:
Both plates (TD2's) in the middle of the pack with front at 67deg and 6cant; rear at 58deg and 3cant.
Stance feels great. More important, I have near infinite confidence in the edge. Been carving well for 2-3yrs. With the Burner I'm able to get all the way down "and" fully extend with much greater consistency......seems effortless all the way down the run. Fairly long board and more difficult to manuver when slow - no big deal. Not fun when in bumps or soft runs that get skied-up.
I use similar setup on other boards (favored Oxygen in the past) just moved the center for balance.
For the Swoard, been using the Swoard/Extreme Carving recomended setup. Center again, No cant, and less angle ~ 60 & 50 . Haven't quite mastered their technique - doing well with slight variations of mine. Comfortable but wider stance (I haven't bothered to measure) carves very well and really shines in varying conditions. On the groom I can get as low as the burner, but it takes more effort and doesn't feel quite as solid.....If I could only have one board the Swoard would be great and I can make it work almost anywhere. Only had it for half of this season so still adjusting.
Suggestions welcome. I'm the only local carver, northern WI. I make it west a couple weeks a year. Everything to this point is self taught. Next year planning for an extended vacation 4-5 weeks in the Vail area and of coarse SES.
See some of you there!
