  1. Any time my lady. :) Where did your friend move to? As for resorts, it sort of depends where you want to be closer to (Melbourne or Sydney). I haven't ridden the New South Wales resorts but Mozzman is from up that way and tells me that Perrisher is great for carving. Lots of terrain but not super steep. I hear that Thredbo is steep but can get icy. I am going to go visit him for a weekend next year, so will be able to give a full report then. As for Victorian resorts, I wouldn't even bother with Mt Buller. It is a great party hill, but that is about the extent of it. It is only ever good on it's very best days, otherwise it is crap. Mt Hotham is pretty good, but it gets frustrating that most of the decent runs funnell into one lift, so the bottom gets chopped up by ski school snakes and gumbys pretty quickly. Some good steep runs though and great powder when it turns on. If it is carving terrain you want, I suggest Falls Creek. They have a pretty good race course that is well groomed, and usually you can find some good carving terrain. I broke out the new board there this year and loved it.
  2. Yep, couldn't agree more.... And THAT is why I want to meet the girl and ride with her!!!
  3. Michelle, whoever came up with that theme either should be congratulated or shot ! Still, the photos look pretty awesome and it is definately a theme that I am going to rip off at some time in the future.
  4. Send mail to JJFluff. He is in Milwaukee and loves his Burton boards. You never know your luck....
  5. I got a 4WD 169 and a MFR 158. I don't get a lot of appropriate conditions over here for carving, so the 4WD has only been out a couple of times. It will get a good workout in Feb though. But the MFR is just the most awesome free ride board I have ever owned. I love it.
  6. Big White is good, but if you are planning a trip anywhere in mid-Feb it should be to Aspen for SES!
  7. I spent a lot of time running during my teens and early 20's as training for paddling kayaks or just playing football. When I was 29 (about 12 months ago) I saw the surgeon who told me my kneecaps were buggered. I had to have both of them arthriscoped and now have no cartilege left on either one. I've been told that I can either stop running and playing football, or alternatively have both my knee caps replaced before I am 40. Not exactly a difficult choice. For training now I do a bit of swimming and riding mtb and road bikes as well as walking. Also doing heaps of kayak paddling, though I am getting a bit concerned with what this might ultimately do to my back and shoulders (my dad paddled for 20 years and has had a hip replacement and lining up for a shoulder reconstruction). It is just the repitition. I'd stick to swimming, riding, walking and snowboarding. And if you feel particularly energetic, make a point of doing at least one hike a day rather than ride the lift!
  8. Not necessarily a bad thing! BUt you are on the right track. Believe me, if I saw a cute girl carve past me, I'd be pretty impressed (unless I was a park rat, in which case, you wouldn't be carving there, and you probably wouldn't want to bother with the conversion in the first place).
  9. WHAT??? You mean there are pictures?!?!?! I won't start.....
  10. Mike, I'm all systems go. Back at St Moritz. I also know Bill has rebooked, but not sure of anyone else. Dan
  11. Hmmm, WTC followed by SES..... If it wasn't for one of my best mate's weddings on that weekend in Tasmania, then my girlfriend would just kill me for going away for so long and not taking her too. No way could I pull that off....at least, not this year  but guys if you keep all the dates the same in coming years it will make planning a big trip definately worthwhile!
  12. D-Sub, Now if you could get a pic of her carving in that outfit, THEN we would have a CALENDER!!! Reckon you could get her to SES???
  13. Now THAT'S some music worth downloading!
  14. I have one of those myself and agree they look a bit stupid. BUT, they are bloody comfortable and warm. The only problem I have had is that the front lip of the helmet affects the top vents in my goggles, so any time the snow is a bit on the wet side (which is pretty much all the time down here in Oz) my goggles fog up. I have good goggles and good helmet so don't want to really replace either, but I think I will have to do one or the other. Or alternatively just stop bothering with riding in Australia!
  15. Quite simply - I wouldn't. I'd rather get a full custom from Prior or Donek and know that I had 1) exactly what I wanted, 2) top quality workmanship, 3) great after sale service, and 4) probably 300+ bikkies left in my pocket.
  16. Oh come now, their they're, it's going to be alright.
  17. Yep, as opposed to illusions which would never have been there in the first place. I thought long and hard about that spelling. Perhaps I just should have used a different word
  18. Michelle, are you telling us you are NOT a virgin??? Oh my goodness, all my allusions have been shattered!!!
  19. Please do us all a favour here at BOL and let us guys know when you ARE back in the dating pool. Somehow I think there would be quite a few interested suitors. :o
  20. Riding STILES?!?! Usually it is the horse, not the stile that you ride. But hey, you guys do lots of things different over there, so I can never be sure!
  21. The buzz word in today's business world is MARKETING. Many people often ASK for a simple explanation of "Marketing." Well, here it is: You're a woman and you see a handsome guy at a party. You walk over to him and say, "I'm fantastic in bed." That's Direct Marketing. You're at a party with a bunch of friends and see a handsome guy. One of your friends goes up to the guy and, while pointing at you, says "That's my friend and she's fantastic in bed." That's Advertising. You see a handsome guy at a party. You walk up to him, you introduce yourself, and you get his telephone number. The next day, you call him and say: "Hi, I'm fantastic in bed." That's Telemarketing. You see a good looking guy at a party. You straighten your dress, you walk over to him, and you pour him a drink. You say: "May I," as you reach up to straighten his tie, while brushing your body lightly against his arm. Then you say, "By the way, I'm fantastic in bed." That's Public Relations. You're at a party and see a handsome guy. He walks over to you and says, "I hear that you are fantastic in bed." That's Brand Recognition. You're at a party and you see a good looking guy. He fancies you, but you talk him into going home with your friend. That's a Sales Rep. Your friend can't satisfy him, so he calls you. That's Tech Support.
