This board is in mint condition...I don't remember the vintage...maybe 2004. Waist 19cm Sidecut Radius 14m $300 plus shipping
  2. This is a 155cm Generic board. The bindings are vintage 1995 nitro bindings. The board has an 8.6m sidecut radius and 20.5cm waist. The board is in mint condition. It has a relatively soft flex. The board would be ideal for a kid, small woman or a lighter person who is just beginning to carve. $100 plus shipping
  3. ...just up'd my enthusiasm, Bryan. ...you to Dan.
  4. ...since you are in Utah, what is your interest in a Mt. Hood program? I would be interested in more than beer league but less than a total, full-on, serious program. I'd be interested in running gates like 2 half days a week.
  5. ...is ripping it up for about 3 runs with Thor von Rippington himself at SES. I remember going up the Buttermilk quad with him and watching Paul "express" himself on the last pitch. It was late, we were both tired but we just couldn't let go of such a great day.
  6. Yes, I would participate...so that's one.
  7. Seems like it would be better and cheaper to take 2 weeks off now and take advantage of the great late season conditions in the good ole Pacific Northwest...Mt Bachelor and Mt Hood. Pick up a $99 season pass and enjoy.
  8. Hey Mike or anyone else...anyone going to be up at Mt. Bachelor on Thursday and Friday? Look for me.
  9. I already emailed Chris and he replied so we'll be spending a few days together...get ready for my bad jokes. Tim
  10. Hi Dan, I'd love to forerun. Where do you want me and when do you want me there?
  11. I'm just educating myself on this too but what you said is correct as I understand it.
  12. Here's a good package deal for a kid, a woman or anyone just learning on hardplates. The Generics board is soft flexing so it would work for a light person as an all mountain ride. The Nitro bindings are circa 1996 and worked well for me back in the day. Never had a problem...I weigh 140 lbs. Tip Width - 25.7 Waist Width - 20.5 Tail Width - 25.7 Sidcut Radius - 8.6m Eff. Edge - 133.5 Price - $100 + Shipping
  13. I have found using the rowing machine at the gym has been great for my back. I think it is the Concept II...correct me if I'm wrong...it is the most common, high end machine. Be sure to not round your back...ie bend forward at the hips and then stroke with a straight back. The rowing machine, yoga and a strong routine of ab strengthening has given me great results.
  14. Were you there? I saw one hard plater on a Burton. Dshak, I didn't see you either.
  15. The weather report calls for wind and snow.
  16. In the toe side turn did your tail skid/chatter out at the end of the turn?
  17. I've almost been hit by those "beeliners" as they make a beeline for the terrain park. Thunderbird and Leeway are routes to the terrain park at the bottom of Pine Marten. I do my best to stay out of their way.
  18. Whether you ride totally laid out or angulated...just don't have your knees together...:lol::lol:
  19. Scott, to follow your question of a body position that ranges from totally laid out to an angulated position...I think you can also think in terms of what you can get away with and what is the most efficient. And what you can get away with and what is most efficient will be affected by the texture of the snow (icy, hard pack or soft), the steepness of the hill, the speed of the rider, the lay of the land (fall away vs banked turn) and etc. And most importantly all of this is determined by what puts the biggest smile on your face. :D:D:D
  20. ...there was a guy at Mt. Bachelor, OR riding powder quite well on a slalom water ski. He mounted bindings one behind the other like a skwall and used ski boots and poles. I've never heard his contribution given credit.
  21. I'll be there Wed...does that count?:D
  22. I'm thinking Mt. Bachelor...
  23. Anyone going to be up Tue, Wed and Thurs?
