  4. hi, im in northern NJ. would you consider selling the volkl for 60 shipped? It would be a "beater" sl board, so thats the value for me. thanks for the consideration. ralph
  5. what was bought, what is left? I'm interested in fr2.
  6. I'll keep my eyes open for you in those areas. if you feel like, we can try to get in contact around that time. thanks, rb
  7. hope to be carving at Killington Monday-wednesdaynext week. anybody else expecting to be there?
  8. binding price? You dont happen to have the step in parts do you? and mention the cant/lift specs if you know them, thank you.
  9. Had a terrific time on Sunday..no crowds, better than decent snow. And now, after a season of ski-racing school, my little girl keeps up! IT'S AWESOME! And all for my $300 season pass! Myself and the two (under 7 year old, FREE) kids go about a dozen times...that's about $8/person/day!!!! UNREAL VALUE!!! Now off to Killington Sunday-Wed to wrap up the season (also ALL HALF PRICE LIFTS because of my MCreek pass!!!) I met Gary, quite coincidentally. as he was telemarking!?
  10. that poses the age ol question...do what I'm used to and is "fine" for free, or pay some $ and check out if the other thing is any better. I might do the creek. how far is plattkill?
  11. Like jt said, many fun mellow runs. Even from the top all the way down to the bottom of the gondola can be fun even though a bit flat it's so long and if no one around its nestled in trees for the bottom part. Hey jt, I will be up there by myself next Sunday to Wed. Did you say you know carvers close by?
  12. Hey guys, who is that on today's email from mountain creek? He's laying down an edge on an all mountain Donek...I figure its got to be one of the carving community here.
  13. Still available? How much use and tune ups?
  14. ...My horrible flu, hopefully I'll get another day at the creek, but it's iffy. Keep me in the loop about the hunter day, I still have a lift ticket for there this season. Hopefully Killington one last blast march 24-27.
  15. Mr J, there is a ton of information about Technical set ups in other areas of the forum, look up binding and board conversations, awesome resources, even references to carving videos. I'm finally over
  16. How big do the short plates accommodate?
  17. does it zipper all around? cant tell in photo, could be velcro.
  18. Killington. Very nice. I think I will be sneaking up there (without the family) around my birthday in early march, Its a no brainer with the half price card that you get with the mountain creek season pass. I had a pretty good time at MC this morning. Very few people, so even though I got on at ten it was still cold enough, smooth enough and open enough to snap out some quick runs. After some close encounters with the human pylons at Vernon, I went to south. the right trail (from top looking down) on Bear mtn was empty and I definitely reached the limits of my speed comfort. I need an expert on the gear for some input...I was riding my 160 Burton Speed with 9.6 scr, I'm wondering if a longer board with a bigger scr would alleviate some of that "floaty" out of control feeling I had at (my) top speed. My guess is the natural turn radius is too tight when going quickly down fall line so I am not on edge enough. Still learning after a half dozen years. But I'll tell you, things were a lot less intense when i changed over to softies and flat board to practice my lame jumps. Some of the kids there are AWESOME, many Ah*&es, but talented none the less, I saw three kids lay down back flips like they were on their couch at home.
