  2. last pair of 26's? are there still any 27's or the messed up pair?
  3. interested. i'm building up equipment for my girlfriend who has converted
  4. even the holes merge , you can still use them rock solid. also, you can drill then screws in between holes if you prefer 61.5 degrees versus 63 and 60 with no problem at all.
  5. catek's are sexy! they're bling blingin! plus if you know someone to anodize them, you can make them look solid gasoline puddles!
  6. If I owned a mountain, It'd be called Carve Mountain only for hardbooters and skiers and all it would have is wide groomers at 25 degrees slant. Since I can't fulfill that dream, like all of you, I'd pay good money to go to a mountain where there are no jibbers and probably very little bad skiers to scrape away the snow into scheisse piles. Heavenly conditions all day! I'm betting good skiers would pay for that too. I bet if you go to those mountains in a hard boot set-up, a board not covered in stupid looking logo stickers and pants that don't sag with chains coming out of them, they would let you on.
  7. of course, lessons and constant encouragement is needed, which as a good boyfriend will do, will provide A woman who rips is sexy.
  8. I'm converting my girlfriend too. She's the newest boarder in my group of softie friends at 2 years, yet I've already got her digging trenches and muttering in disgust at rails in the park! (just kidding, that step is next) My steps were: Raising her angles on freestyle board slowly up to 40/35. Now, the second step will be to get her soft bindings onto a wide forgiving old freecarve board. I'm looking for one now, if any one has an old burton or oxygen (non asym) , interested.
  9. I'll be down there from Montreal too with my friends. I'm 18, white. I'll be in baggy blue snowpants, white and blue jacket, silver helmet, and of course... Raichles with a 186 Coiler Blue Flames! Hope to see more hardbooters so we can synchronize carves around my softie friends! I'll be on Urrl's Dream probably, and Northway just for the kicks of eurocarving around groups of parkies sitting around in groups near jumps.. ahem... "kicks"! See ya!
  10. oh yeah, and the SWOARD is the Campagna T-Rex. if you don't know what that is, look at their site! that thing screams! seen about 6 up here in Québec where they're made. I love niche markets...
  11. If alpine board brands were to be manufacturers of cars, here's what they would be. Coiler - Porsche 911 GT3RS! Nidecker - BMW M3 Donek - Lexus GS300 Prior - Lotus or Ferrari Burton - Ford Mustang Pogo - Techart Porsche Virus - Ruf Porsche F2 - Mercedes AMG Madd - Lamborghini Most freestyle boards: Ford Expedition with exception of: Rad Air Tanker - BMW X5 Donek Incline - Porsche Cayenne Prior AMF - Hummer!
  12. I'm 18 and am the only one of all my park duck stanced friends who rides alpine. I got into it since I've been carving it up with 50 degree angles on narrow freeride boards since age 13. I LOVE being part of the minority. Ha! They think they can carve, and I just smile and dig a eurotrench around them to demonstrate. Most parkies consider turning while making a scraping noise "carving". They all thought it wasn't cool even though only 1 of them has an idea of what carving is, and they thought that me going down green runs instead of the forest somehow meant that I'm crap rider. Haha after they watch me link super aggressive turns on my 171 down a lift trail, I now no longer get comments, just stares and an acknowledged sense of inferiority from my softy friends! We'll see what they think when they watch me burn down on my soon-to-arrive blue flamed coiler 186! They will want to try and I will lend my skier friends my donek.
