I've beaten most of our patroler's to incinents here in Oz and they are amazed at the manouverability of Alpine boards when needed.
Go for it , I turned down an offer here as it conflicts with other duties.

Use the one above as a desktop if you like :)
Dan and I were in the states but I didn't get to the East as I had planned unfortunately.
Next year perhaps if they are consecutive weeks.

If you have a problem with MADD then take it up with them and not post potentialy defamatroy comments as above .
Wether they are in jest or not I don't think most member's on this forum appreciate such negativity.

We had a few comments from some skier's about the grooves but , I suggested that they learn to turn as well and then they would understand it's "Cool to Carve" , and " Slack to slide" :) .
But it is hard to impress those that are balance challenged.

I rough out the area with a die grinder ( Like a little engraver and then simply heat and melt in Ptex with a soldering iron and a custom tip. after cooling , flatten with a surform file, cork block and 500 grit , rewax .... jobdone

Give it 10 mins mate it's still uploading as we speak :)
I know it's a bit rough as I just threw a template together and batch converted the images,
I'll be refining it in the next few days.
Maurie
OK every one some of the Images I captured over the week are on line.
They can be viewed at
http://www.ozcarve.com/sesimages
I have refrained from makeing this a Password access due to it not being a published link.
Be aware that not all images have been checked and posted so there are more to come in the next day or 2 , I have a big backlog of chores I need to do so please be patient .
Maurie
Thanks to everyone whatever part you played in getting this event running as it was an absolute success in my book and well worth the cost of getting there form OZ and in the words of a particular movie character " I'LL BE BACK " .
With more phrases to keep you all entertained and guessing. :)

Hi all well I'm home in the Snowies after a bit of a hassel with the trip home, and will be editing the images I gathered over the week and will be posting them in a directory called www.ozcarve.com/sesimages that will be a non published link on my ozcarve web site in the next day or two.
I had a wonderfull time meeting and rideing with you all and I have already started an account at the bank to put ALL loose change to assist in makeing it to SES 06 or maybe 07.
Stay in touch every-one.
Mozz aka Maurie
Especially since there is between 10-20 inches of that white powdery stuff forcast to fall over the Aspen area in the next 48 Hrs or so with 30% chance right through Saturday.

If Scott can gives me the dimenions of the hole placements and the diameter and thickness, I'll try to get some alloy and fabricate them before I fly out next Sat Morning, :) Always keen to help out a carving convert.
Maurie
For Gods sake Scott I hope you can get your lady out of this present mode of thinking, as 1 bad day can't be held responsible for this depression.
I can understand Holly's frustration esspecially if she has been doing so well .
Chin up dude and I hope you have both made a new friend in Terry and if he pops up here on the bomber forum I'll he'll be made most welcome as was I when I first joined .
I wouldn't worry too much Jack here in Oz we sometimes only make it to a 35 - 40 in Base .
Plus it's snowing again anyways according to the weatherchannel and the Aspen Cams too.
See ya in a fortnight.
:D
I use this when boarding now rather than Backpack I used to use , it really depends on wether I'm shooting an event or just out grabbing action shots in the terrain park or on the slopes.
Top stuff this Lowrepro Gear
Cheer's
As as been said the weight v angulation v feet angles v you actual centripital Cof G all play a very big part in carving a turn,
I'm still learning my technique too as I tend to blow out heel side truns on occaisions.
It looks like a SMES ( Snowy Mountains Expression Session ) is a distinct possibility Baka I'll keep you posted .
